y/n was walking home from school a week or so after that night she spent with peter that had freaked her out so terribly. she was walking past delmar's , slowly heading towards the quieter parts of town when she noticed a man was following her out of the corner of her eye. she discreetly picked up her pace and made sure to stay alert in case of attack. y/n turned left down a nearby street and quickly glanced behind her, she sighed in relief as she didn't see the man anymore. but before she could continue her walk home, she felt a hand grasp her shoulder and spin her around. y/n gulped as she was met with her stalker.

'what's a pretty girl like you doing out here with nobody around?' he asked in a sinister tone, licking his gums as his thumbs hooked onto her belt loops, pulling y/n's body against his. y/n grimaced as she felt his erection against her leg as she tried to squirm away from him. she felt his grimy nails grip into her jacket. 'i said, what's a pretty girl like you doing out here all alone?' the man repeated in a much more aggressive voice. y/n felt tears in her eyes as her hands shook with fear. 'HELP! GET OFF OF ME!' y/n yelled as loudly as she could before the man covered her mouth with his filthy hand. y/n screamed and bit him the best she could. the man yelped and pushed y/n against the wall, her hitting her head but not enough to render her unconscious.

as the man began to feel her up, y/n heard a loud 'whoosh' sound and a flash of red. she sighed in relief and as the man looked towards where the sound came from, y/n took this as an opportunity to knee him in the balls. he fell to the ground in pain as y/n jumped away from him so she was out of his reach. a familiar figure dressed in red and blue jumped down in front of her, shielding her from the pervert lying on the sidewalk. y/n had never been so relieved to see spiderman.

spiderman webbed the man to the ground, making him immobile. 'you know, you really shouldn't harass people, especially girls.' he said smugly as he shot a web on the man's mouth, keeping him silent. spiderman turned towards y/n and gently grasped her shoulder, eyebrows furrowing as she slightly flinched. 'are you ok, ma'am?' he asked gently. y/n nodded as she gently rubbed her arms. 'uh, yeah. thank you by the way.' she smiled briefly as she was still catching her breath. she could still feel her heart beating heavily in her chest. 'do you need me to get you home?' spiderman asked, hoping she would oblige. y/n looked back down at the man lying helplessly on the sidewalk and nodded her head fast. 'yes please.' she almost begged the masked hero in front of her. 'ok, but you might wanna hold on tight.' he answered before grabbing her waist with care.

spiderman swung y/n home through the streets, making sure to ask for the directions as to not give himself away. as he landed on the sidewalk right in front of her house, he stopped y/n before she walked off. 'you just call out for me if you need me, ma'am and i'll be there right away.' he reassured. y/n gave a close lipped smile and nodded before slowly making her way to her front door. spiderman just watched to make sure she got inside safe; you can never be too careful. before y/n opened her door, she turned back to her saviour. 'thank you, spiderman. really, thank you. you saved my life.' she smiled with gratitude before opening her front door and closing it behind her.

peter smiled underneath his mask, glad he made the decision to follow y/n home. he had had a bad feeling all day like something terrible was going to happen and it completely unnerved him. he began his journey home, trying to ignore the what ifs and possible scenarios had he not followed y/n that night. peter's body shivered at the thought of her being hurt by that disgusting man. he reassured himself that y/n was safe at home and that man couldn't get to her now.

as peter quietly crawled through his bedroom window, he began to think of how he could somehow talk to y/n. he couldn't just go up to her, she would turn away or brush him off like she had been doing for the last week and a half. his relationship with y/n had him completely thrown; nothing bad had happened between them yet he felt like he had done something awful and it was eating away at him, trying to find out the answer. peter thought long and hard about how he should talk to y/n and eventually came to a slightly uncomfortable conclusion: he would have to be spiderman to even get close to her.
