Team RWBYS where watching a training match between Cardin and Jaune, the fight was completely one-sided Jaune was knocked back by Cardin, Jaune got up and charged at the bully with his sword above his head, Cardin easily blocked the attack and then countered with a kick to Jaune's ribs causing the boy to fall to the ground in pain, Cardin was about to slam his mace down on Jaune's head, suddenly a buzzer went off "That's enough!" Gooodwitch announced coldly "Mr Arc it's been weeks, please remember to keep track of your aura levels during battle, doing so will tell you when it is best to switch to a more defensive strategy, that is all for today's class but remember the Vital festival is only in a couple of months, class dismissed"

As Sonic was leaving the class he looked deep in thought something that didn't happen often so it wasn't long before someone noticed "What's on your mind blue?" Asked Yang

"What's aura?" Sonic replied "I've heard people talk about it before but I never really understood what it was" the blue hedgehog remembered back to when he first arrived in remnant, he overheard some travelling huntress that wore a white cloak talking about aura.

"um... well aura is kinda like your soul, it can protect you from harm, and also be used to attack with a semblance, like with Ruby turning into rose petals" Yang explained

"do I have an aura?" Sonic asked

"of course you do, all living things have an aura, it just needs to be unlocked" answered the blonde "hey I'll unlock yours for you" as she said this Yang put her hand on Sonic's chest, the hedgehog felt strange like he was safer than he was before, "there you go, now with training, you can unlock your semblance"

"Thanks, Yang" Sonic said as he sped off to tell Ruby about what happened

cafeteria

Teams RWBYS and JNPR were having lunch together as usual, "so there we were in the middle of the night" Nora was telling a story.

"it was day" Ren corrected his childhood friend

"We were surrounded by Ursai" Nora continued unbothered

"they were Beowolves" Ren clarified

"Dozens of them!" The ginger-haired girl yelled

"two of them," Ren said with tiredness in his voice

"but they were no match, and in the end, Ren and I took them down, and made a boatload of Lie selling Ursa skin rugs!" Nora recalled proudly.

"she's been having this reoccurring dream for nearly a month now" Ren explained

Jaune wasn't listening and looked like something was troubling him, "Jaune, you ok?" Asked Pyrrha worried about her leader

Jaune came out of his worrying "oh.. yeah, why" Jaune replied unconvincingly.

"You don't look ok," said Sonic concerned for his friend

"Really guys I'm fine" Jaune reassured giving a half-hearted thumbs up, he glanced over his shoulder to see Cardin picking on a rabbit Faunus girl.

"Jaune, Cardin has been picking on you since the first week," said Pyrrha

"Who Cardin Winchester, he's just messing around, y'know practical jokes." Jaune rambled

"he's a bully Jaune," Ruby said firmly remembering when she used to get picked on in Signal, "if you don't do something he'll only get worse"

"oh please, name one time he's bullied me?" Jaune asked
