Lydia's POV

"No. Fucking. Way. I can't believe he had the audacity to do that" Emily said in shock.

"I know right, I was livid" I said back.

"Well this calls for bad bitch energy songs to be played while we get ready to look our best and piss him off" she replied menacingly.

"Oh I'm so down"'

"You looked gorgeous" I said to Emily as we posed in the mirror for some photos.

"So do you bitch" she laughed. We'd both been drinking as soon as she got to mine so she was a little tipsy already. "Boyyyssss are you ready?"

"Yeah we've been waiting for you two for the last 20 minutes" Archie shouted up.

Hero's POV

I didn't wanna go to the party after what had happened at the mall, but I promised Lydia I would come, and I'm glad I did because she looked stunning.

I couldn't take my eyes off of her as she made her way down the stairs. I didn't care if Archie was looking, I couldn't help myself.

Although to my surprise he wasn't watching me, he was staring at Emily in awe.

*Did he have a crush on her?* I thought to myself.

I knew I could play that to my advantage so I walked over to Archie and whispered in his ear "Why don't you drive Emily there just the two of you, I'll bring Lydia in a bit, give you two some alone time".

He smirked "If you insist... Emily, Hero can't find his watch so Lydia's gonna help him look and come when they've found it, I'll take you now".

"Oh okay that's cool, tell her I said bye" she said she walked with Archie to his car.

"Where are they going?" Lydia asked as she re entered the room.

"Archie's taking her, I need to talk to you Lyd" I said.

"Fine, talk" she demanded.

"I tried to get rid of her all day, and when she mentioned dinner with her parents I told her it crossed a line and I wasn't going." I paused. "But then she did that annoying blackmail thing she always does. Lydia her dad owns his own boxing gym and Alex Daim trains there. He's amazing and she said she'd put in a good word with his trainer for me. You know how important my boxing career is to me, so I agreed to go as friends. I swear on my life nothing happened."

She sat quietly for a minute; deep in thought.

"You're unbelievable, you know that?" She said furiously. "How can you sit there and complain about her blackmailing you when you fell for it. You used her and risked hurting my feelings for your own selfish gain".

"Lydia it wasn't like that okay I'm not that kind of guy" I shouted back.

"What the kind of guy who uses is ex girlfriends very connected family to cheat his way into boxing career, even though he has somebody waiting at home for him? You're not that kind of guy no? Cause to me that's exactly who you are." She responded. "You're nothing but a liar Hero, and the horrible thing is, you're really fucking good at it, so people believe you. And then it hurts them a million times more. Looks like you and Rosie are a good match after all, you really deserve each other" she spat as she walked away.

"No I'm not letting you walk off like this, I'm not meant for her, we are made for each other Lydia. I'm sorry I went to that dinner, infact im sorry for seeing her at all that day, now come here." I said.

She didn't say anything at first. Instead she slowly walked towards me and eventually whispered in my ear "I'm not a girl to be messed with Hero Finnes-Tiffin, you're gonna learn that the hard way".

Damn.

"Are you taking me to this party then or what?" She said with sas as she dangled my car keys at me from the front door.

"Yes ma'am" I replied.
