The Rain

Home Chapter 3

As Stella dried off and put on clean, warm clothes she smiled and ran down the stairs. Stella could smell her mus's home cooked dinner and smiled.

"Hey mum what's for dinner?" she asked sweetly

"Oh, I'm trying out a new dish....it has pork in I think," her mum looked a small bit confused as she browned the pork, "sweetie can you set the table please?"

"Yeah, sure mum" Stella walked into the dinning room and began putting place mats and knifes and forks on the table. When she was done she called out to her mum "I'm done going on the computer!" all Stella heard in reply was a "hmmmm". Stella took that as a okay so she ran to the computer room and checked her emails....but sadly she know test she had no new ones. Stella sighed and turned off the computer and just like magic her mum called her down for dinner.

As Stella walked into the dinning room she saw a bright dish in the middle of the kitchen table.

"Oh my God mum this looks stunning! no jokes!" Stella's mum smiled at this complement and looked at her watch

"where is your dad and brother they are meant to be here by now!" her mum looked worried

"dont worrie they will be here soon" but as soon as the words left her lips the boys appeared and came to the dining table.

"speak of the devil and the devil appears" both the girls laugh. both of the boys look at each other worried they did something and say in unison "WHAT?!?!?!"

"nothing don't worry just sit down and eat!" the boys couldn't refuse the idea of eating so they straight away jumped into the dish. when everyone was finished Stella and her brother tidied the table and fed the dog while laughing at each others stories of the day. it was 8pm and Stella made an excuse to go to bed but her mum just nodded and waved her away she was transfixed with this weeks coronation street on ITV. Stella smiled and shook her head as she ran up the stairs.

When Stella got to her computer she checked her emails again out of habit and noticed that she had a new email from her best mate Parker. She was about to open it when she heard a noise that made Stella run towards her window. When she looked out side she saw that the rain had got heavier she had to double take and look again because she swore she just saw a boy outside but when she checked again there was nothing there.

Stella sighed and walked over to the computer and opened the email.

Hey Stells!

you would be shocked at how much i am missing you! and the boys! how is the old Chase and Blake?? anyway that doesn't matter i miss your mums cooking! make her come and live in Canada with me PLEASE! the school i am at is alright but hasn't got any British people in there! i'm the only one! i also want to say i will never forget you! and you shall always be my best friend even if i make friends with other people i promise stells a bell!! i love you with all my heart love Parker xxxxxxxxxxxx

Stella smiled and really felt like Parker knew her really well. Stella was thinking about what to write back to Parker but then she heard a CRACK! and Stella sprinted over to her window.
