Chapter 1

Rheda

Worcestershire was one of my favorite places in this world.
The calm breeze and the cold.
I always awaited the summer. It was freezing cold most of the time.

Dad loved driving in the snow and didn't mind getting stuck in it and having to shovel himself out every time.So tiring.

Taking Hanniel to school, groceries,you name it.
He was always ready to do anything that involves driving in the chill ice.

I loved my little brother.He was the one of the coolest kids you would ever meet. He loved his books and hardly gave me a hard time.

This Friday afternoon however was hardly to my taste.

Not a day passed without some mysterious misery showing up and intruding. I hated myself for letting the least 'thing' get to me so much.

Raven College was always a place where I loathed being at.
I guess I'm in this till graduation then. Sigh!

As I sat in the front row I wondered what could be wrong as there was utter silence from the rows at the back.
I turned to see what had happened and I saw him.
Blue eyes and flying hair with the whitest skin you have ever seen.
I shook my head in disbelief as I turned my neck slowly to look at Mrs.Rupe.
It was too much of a critical moment to go staring at boys who probably thought I was a ghost.
Kennedy and Luke were best friends who never walked apart. You would always see them together.

I stole another glance over my shoulder at the angel who was seated behind me and oh!
I got lost in thought.

In a split second I got jolted back to life as Mrs. Rupe slapped her book on the table.
"Rheda". I heard my name echo through the majestic class walls.

I was so embarrassed I blushed almost immediately.
Lucky for me,nobody saw why I lost track of what the patient Mrs. Rupe was going on about.

I widened my eyes as she nodded towards me.
"Summarize the story of Abab and Teiku". She said.

Who cared about one magical story anyways?
Confused as I was,I rose up ready to make sense of what my brains were telling me.
I couldn't remember anything except those eyes. Oh Lord was going crazy.

"Please repeat your explanation".
I replied in shame.
Everybody stared at me including cute boy.
Biggest shame ever.
Angrily,Mrs. Rupe ordered me to exchange seats with the nerd in front row.
Solana was one kid who looked more lost than I was. I could bet she was
the most innocent.

I scanned her face as I vacated my seat for her,glaring.
She shook as she moved past me in fear as she went towards my seat.
Timid much.

As I lowered myself into the seat I saw written in bold letters.
'clueless'.
Obviously written by a nuisance who hated her guts in the class.

I guess I was now the clueless one with a fate decorated with cluelessness.

I dedicated the rest of my time trying to flush cute boy out my mind and focus on the Algebra I had in front of me.
If I couldn't get the guy I really had to get the grades.

As I sat I could see the piercing looks Mrs. Rupe gave me.
She really wanted me to grasp what she was illustrating on the board and I wasn't going to dissapoint her.

I was so attentive that for a minute I was oblivious of my surroundings.
In my own world, making love to Algebra.

I completed every assignment she gave that day just to win her back and I glowed with pride as she exclaimed.
"Superb Rhee,Superb job done".
I felt vindicated.

I knew nothing could stop me from maintaining the good girl Rheda persona I had managed to get back.
I have my power back.
Max did a hard one on me but I got over him .
'fuu.... him anyway". I muttered under my breath as Mrs. Rupe walked out.

"What?" I heard a cold voice ask from right behind me.
It was cute boy and did he have the guts!

I was in a trance for a second but I decided to get furious.
"None of that is what you need to hear". I blurted out, knowing how rude I sounded.

The devil just turned and walked past me and out the class indifferently.
I felt like the loser. Why is that?
