"Hello," Bewildered and a few scoff of disbelief were shared among the Williams family upon the blonde woman's greeting.
"Hello? That is all what you had to say-" Many questions left unanswered and only one person could answer them. The Williams household stared at the blonde woman who held her head high, not backing down.
"I apologize for running away, at the time my foolish self thought it had been the answer to my problems."
The room fell silent upon her answer, you could hear a needle drop. An apology. Rare to hear coming from a stubborn and unwavering woman such as Aaliyah.
"Fetch us some tea, please." Eleanor orders a nearby servant as they enter the drawing room. As the family settle down, an air of awkwardness pass as everyone was silent.
"So, where have you been?" Alex breaks the silence as the family looked at the woman with anticipation. "I have been to Prussia, Prince Friedrich had helped me through everything"
Mark Anthony raised his brow with narrowing eyes and the blonde woman immediately shook her head, "Oh heavens no, we are merely great friends."
The Earl pursed his lips before sighing, "Well, we are glad that you are quite fine. You have made your mother bedridden with worry." He cast an eye to his wife who glared at her husband before softly shaking her head.
"I am sorry, Mama. I did not know-" The graceful Countess stopped her with her hand and shook her head, "What is important is you are alright."
Her lips tug up into a smile and softly sigh, as much as she refused to say it out loud she had missed England and her family. In her halls at Prussia, it was never chaotic and loud. A part of her always missed the rowdiness of her brothers.
"So, tell us all about your travel to Prussia!" Sebastian excitedly says as the family tunes into her stories and she gladly tells them everything.
On the other side of the street, a certain Bridgerton was sat on a chaise lounge staring at his art book that was full of portraits of Aaliyah. From her beautiful grey-blue eyes to her subtle porcelain skin nuzzled in the silk sheets of a bed.
"Are you alright, sweetheart?" Violet asks her son as she gave him a smile, the second-born Bridgerton sighs and purses his lips into a forced smile. "Yes, Yes I am, Mama."
The Viscountess furrows her brows, "Now, I know that you say that you are fine but I know that with Aaliyah's arrival you surely must be shaken." Benedict shakes his head, "Mother, I am fine." He presses as he starts to pack his art books.
"If you need someone to talk to, sweetheart-"
"Goodbye, mother. I will be in my room." He excused himself as he locked himself in his room. He placed his art books at his desk as he plops down on the chair, bringing his hands to his face.
