━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Grosvenor Square, 1813

There will forever be just two words that comes to this author's mind the morning after any good party, "shock" and "delight." Well dear reader, the scandalous accounts from last night's soiree at Vauxhall are quite shocking and delightful indeed. Emerging, phoenix-like from the ashes of irrelevance, is one Miss Daphne Bridgerton. The ilustrious debutante was seen dancing not once, but twice with the season's most eligible and most uncatchable rake, the Duke of Hastings.

"If we are to go on a morning promenade, you must wear this color. It complements your skin well," Eleanor instructs, holding a dress up for Aaliyah's maid to see. "Mama, we are going horseback riding. I believe dressing up in a tight dress will be rather impractical," Aaliyah interjects.

The Countess of Williams scoffs before exchanging the dress for a looser one. "I still insist on you looking resplendent, even while riding. You are promenading with a Bridgerton, after all."

It appears that Miss Aaliyah Williams has fixated her attention on a certain gentleman, Mr. Benedict Bridgerton. The pair has been spotted dancing and delighting in each other's company at the Vauxhall celebration. A Williams and a Bridgerton? Such a union between two esteemed families undoubtedly seems like a match predestined by fate.

The Countess of Williams and her sole daughter arrive, greeted by the presence of the Viscountess, Lady Danbury, Daphne, Simon, and Benedict. "A delightful morning, is it not?" the blonde woman remarks, capturing the Bridgertons' attention.

"Lady Williams, indeed it is," the Viscountess responds with a smile, her gaze shifting to Aaliyah, who reciprocates the gesture. "Shall we fetch our horses, Aaliyah?" Benedict offers, extending his hand for her to take, which she accepts eagerly.

"Certainly, Benedict." The pair then sets off, engrossed in conversation and sporting matching smiles, while the three women observe them. "It's rather surprising to see Benedict taking a genuine interest in a lady," Lady Danbury remarks.

"Indeed, I never imagined him considering marriage," the Viscountess concurs, shaking her head. "It appears Aaliyah has managed to captivate him," the blonde woman adds, receiving nods of agreement.

"Care for a horse race?" Aaliyah suggests eagerly, prompting a chuckle from Benedict. "As much as I'd love to, racing amidst this crowd wouldn't be advisable."
