-what's this? Two chapters in one day? Wow I must have motivation or something!-

Jimmy PoV

They crept through the empty store, trying to stay out of sight from the cameras. Joel's tampering should have disabled them for a while, but it was better safe than sorry. Lizzie disabled the alarm system before begining to break the glass of the display cases, grabbing jewled bracelets and necklaces. Jimmy found his eyes drawn to a case at the back of the shop, in it, a golden chain with an intricate medallion rested on a velvet pillow. Jimmy stepped closer, moving to open the lid. As soon as he did so, an alarm began to sound. Panicking, he grabbed the necklace and sprinted back to his sister. She glared at him, grabbing his arm and several jewels before rushing him out the back door. Joel was waiting for them in a nearby parking lot with the getaway car. Lizzie opened the car door for Jimmy and shoved him (gently) into the seat. She slid into the passenger seat, slamming the door behind her and stashing the stolen gems in a hidden compartment in the dashboard.

"Joel, we need to get out of here before the cops come."

"Aww I don't even get a kiss?"

"Later, right now let's just focus on not getting arrested."

Joel started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. Jimmy's heart rate didn't return to normal until they had safely made it to the highway with no sign of the police. Unfortunately, this also ment that Lizzie could now turn her full wrath on him.

"What were you thinking! I told you not to touch anything that wasn't in the main display!"

"I-I didn't know it would set off the alarms! I thought you disabled them!"

"It must have had a seperate alarm, this is why you don't go touching things that I don't tell you to!"

Jimmy slumped in his seat, sulking. He knew that what had happened was technically his fault, but he wasn't about to give his sister the satisfaction of admitting that. Joel seemed to be enjoying his indignation way too much, as he flashed Jimmy a smirk.

"At least the cameras didn't catch you!"

Lizzie shot Jimmy a glare.

"Yeah, at least one person here can do their job right."

Jimmy flinched slightly, eyes stinging. It was going to be a long ride.

When they finally arrived back at the house, Jimmy immediately ran upstairs, slamming his door. He collapsed on his bed, pulling the medallion out of his pocket to examine it. It had an owl with deer antlers inscribed on the front and some sort of flower on the back. It seemed to be made out of solid gold, with rubies inlaid in the petalt of the flower- maybe a rose or a poppy? Either way it was beautiful and probably very expensive. He startled at a knock on his door, dropping the necklace on the bed and going to answer it. His sister stood in the door, an apologetic look on her face.

"Jimmy, I'm sorry for how I was acting earlier, I was just worried about getting caught and very stressed out. That doesn't excuse the way I talked to you."

"Thank you for apologizing, I'm sorry for being reckless and for not listening to you."

Lizzie pulled him into a hug.

"It's all okay, they didn't catch us and thanks to Joel, they won't for a while."

She noticed the medallion on his bed.

"Is that what you took?"

Too late to hide it now...

"Um, yeah, isn't it pretty?"

Lizzie moved to pick it up, turning it over in her hands to examine the back. She whittled in appreciation.

"This would sell for a pretty penny."

Jimmy slumped slightly, he had kind of hoped that he would be able to keep it. He didn't know what it was, but something about the medallion called to him. Seeming to notice his crestfallen expression, Lizzie's eyes softened.

"Buuut, I guess its too recognizable to sell without some one connecting the dots."

She tossed it back onto his blankets.

"You can keep it if you want."

His expression immediately brightened.

"Really!"

"Yeah, sure! Just don't let anyone find it."

He pulled her back into a hug, wrapping his arms tight around her.

"Thank you so much!"

His sister chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"Your welcome, now come on, Joel is making dinner tonight so that's bound to be interesting. Let's go eat."

"Okay!"

He quickly shoved the medallion into his pocket before rushing after Lizzie's retreating form. What he didn't know was that the necklace's long buried magic was just starting to reawaken. This, was only the beginning.

????? PoV

"Well well well, what do we have here?"

A grin split the figure's face as they watched a long dead light finally flicker back on.

"Seems like it's finally time for me to act."

They pushed orange hair out of their face, readjusting their goggles. This was very exiting news indeed.

"Took you long enough."

-I hope everyone enjoyed it. I am planning to make chapters slightly longer for this fic (this chapter not included), but we'll see how long that lasts. Ooooo, a mysterious figure, I wonder who that could be? Have a great day/night everyone! Lots of love to you all, au revoir!-
