Chapter 10

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sakune's POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mr. Nanjo asked me to make a cake for him? He said it was a celebration and wanted it to be a skating theme! I usually have a lot of designs in mind for many different themes, but skating? Never thought of it. But I wanted it to be the best piece I've ever done!

I've been working here ever since Mr. Nanjo opened his restaurant. I admired him a lot and was eager to learn about cooking. He kind of took me in as an apprentice until he let me run the restaurant by myself when he was gone. I do that a lot now since he's always with his husband, Mr. Sakurayashiki. He's a famous calligrapher! I've met him a few times but not enough to say that I know him.

I make the cake part of it but Mr. Nanjo told me he wanted a skating design. He sent me a picture of a skateboard and it wasn't really detailed so it was good for a cake. I got white frosting and covered the whole cake in a kinda thick layer of it. I then got blue frosting and outlined the top and bottom of the cake with it. It looked kinda plain but it was still in progress- i looked at the picture of the skateboard and looked back at the cake. This is going to be a long day....

I was finally done! The cake looked great too!

It was a white covered cake that was outlined with blue frosting. I make a little skateboard shaped cookie and designed it like the picture Mr. Nanjo sent me. I carefully placed it on the cake and wrote

'Congratulations!'

I felt like it was missing something so I put tiny blue sprinkles all around the cake. It looked delicious! I haven't baked a cake in a while, I should do it more often! I really hope Mr. Nanjo likes it......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kojiro's POV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Joe told me to pass by his restaurant before noon to pick up the cake. He said that his most trusted employee Sakune would be there to give it to me. He also reminded me to thank her for it.

It was 9:00 am right now and I was still at Shadow's house, with the group.....in my PJs. I gently woke Kaoru up to tell him to get ready.

"For what~" Kaoru was stretching like a cat.

"We have to go pick up the cake and visit Cherry." I was whispering because I didn't want to annoy him. 

"Right- just a few more minutes..." He started going back to sleep again.

"No Kaoru lets go." I pulled him out of bed and threw him into the bathroom to make sure he wasn't going back to bed.

"Hurry up I have to get ready too." I grabbed the door handle to close the door until Kaoru grabbed it.

"Why not just get ready with me?" He started to take off his shirt and get into the shower.

"W-what?" I was blushing so hard right now there is no way Kaoru wouldn't notice-

"I was kidding Kojiro calm down!" He was laughing at me-

"Whatever!" I slammed to door pretty hard and it was quiet after. Gosh why does he have to be such a tease!

I headed into the kitchen and saw Shadow sipping his coffee.

"So what was that about?" He said while looking at me.

"Just Kaoru being annoying." I said sighing.

"Really? It's usually Cherry that's angry at Joe for little reasons when they argue." Shadow took another sip, sounding surprised.
