Who might you be?

Kelly Severide has a son named TJ Severide by his longtime girlfriend.. or shall we say ex girlfriend now. TJ is a 4 year old. Stella Kidd has a son named Billy by her abusive ex Husband Grant. Their sons go to the same school so they are bound to meet eventually right?

It was a beautiful summer day in mid May when their worlds would finally collide at a birthday party for a little boy in preschool with their sons. Their little boys where friends but not best friends but Stella always wanted to know the people behind who her son was hanging around so she went up to Kelly and introduced herself "Hey I'm Stella Kidd and my son is Billy. Who might you be?" To which Kelly responded "Kelly Severide nice to meet you Stella my son is TJ". Instantly upon meeting though they both felt a spark like no other and were both left wondering why and how when they just met and introduced themselves. The conversation flowed on though with Stella asking "I'm a firefighter on truck and station 18. What might you be?" to which Kelly told her "Squad 3 lieutenant at Station 51" Stella quietly checked a box off in her head. Stella them started asking questions like "What's the home life like" "married,single, or dating?" And "what do you like to do in your free time". Kelly responded by saying " It's pretty good when you have a little dude like mine and I'm single and have been for about 2 years now which is when me and TJs mom split up. In my spare time I like to fish with my co workers, go to the park with TJ,play basketball with TJ, go to Molly's a bar the whole firehouse hangs out at when TJ is with his mom, picking up gigs at the academy and repairing boats when he's with his mom as well, and just hang around the house and have "man time" with TJ. Why?". "I was just wondering" replied Stella. "And what might your life look like" asked Kelly. To which Stella responded "Besides doing things with Billy on my off days and working as many double shifts as I can down at the Parlor, working the firehouse, and trying to start a program called "Girls on Fire" I don't really have time for anything else so that's really it. I'm single as well have been since I got pregnant with Billy. Me and his dad Grant divorced once we found out we were expecting". That made Kelly immediately wonder if it was a coincidence that they split then or if it wasn't and just made them realize they weren't meant to be but either way he didn't like the sound of that whole Stella silently checked another box in her head. About that time though TJ and Billy ran up to them both asking if Stella and Kelly thought it would be okay if on their next off days they could hang out to which Kelly and Stella immediately agreed to and exchanged numbers.

They got it set up for their next off day like requested by the boys since Kelly was going to have TJ with him. The day quickly arrived and as the time edged closer the more Stella began to feel bad she was feeling these things because what if they did eventually give it a shot together what would that do to the boys if it didn't work out, is she even ready after Grant she knows it's been 4 years but it still feels like the betrayal was yesterday, was Kelly ready for a relationship, With their work schedules was it even reasonable especially being at different stations, and most of all were all the boxes just checking in her head or was it really in real life too". Kelly had some of those same feelings flooding his head too but in typical Kelly fashion decided to block them out and be willing to take the risk if the opportunity presents itself because he has never felt a spark like he did with Stella especially without saying anything before feeling it. It was finally time before they knew it the time has finally come as Stella knocked on Kelly's door...
