"I thought you'd be sleeping," Gideon confessed, seating unwavering at his desk, two pieces of paper dispersed on it with their matching envelopes. Untouched by his words, Eleanor has made her way to him, looking left and right for something she couldn't yet pinpoint, the smaller and smaller nearness between the two hastened Gideon into swiftly clearing out the wooden surface.

It was the middle of the night and Eleanor had driven for almost two hours to reach Gideon's cabin. It was the third night of one of her many unfortunate sleepless marathons, so, by this time, she started to gradually feel her body finally begin to betray her, although she promised herself that she'd get straight to bed once she returns. Yet, she spent the first few hours at home measuring the harm she's caused to Hotch's career, simply because she was unaware of the many visits that he's payed to Strauss' office in the last few weeks, an unwritten promise that she's sworn on removing Hotch from the BAU, one way or another. Unbeknownst to her, she's given Strauss' the very hasty reason she was looking for. Gideon was right, as always. She shouldn't have gone on that roof on the first place. Not because she was unable to take a shot. The adrenaline has taken control over her. What sane sniper shoots someone in the hand?

Gideon has warned her.

She didn't listen.

She never listens.

She should've taken her pills.

She should've slept more.

Gideon was right.

Gideon.

Gideon.

Gideon...

"What are you doing here, Eleanor?" He hesitantly tried to stop her from approaching the desk even more, knowing that she'd take that as a sign to dig deeper, so he turned to make his way to the couch, hoping that she'll follow.

She looked around, taking in every inch of the room carefully, then she returned her attention to the papers, both folded this time, only the envelopes in sight. Written. Spencer. Eleanor. "Came to confirm my theory." Turning away from them, she waited for him to react, but as he didn't even flinch this time, she had to continue. "My guess is that if I enter your bedroom I'll find all your stuff packed."

"Yeah, genius, because I don't sleep in my apartment anymore. So I gathered all my stuff and put it here."

She bent her head slowly to the side, not breaking eye contact. "You know what I mean. Your mind has already been made up for a while now. You just didn't know when to do it."

Circling around, she walked to the bedroom entrance, standing there for a few seconds, then she spun on her feet, returning to her previous position, making Gideon give a short, half-suppressed laugh. Did she really came in to check up on his belongings? "Wild guess, it was the moment we stepped foot on campus."
