~ Ascian
He had watched Zak leaving his room and waited for him to come back with something for his nose. He didn't know why he wanted to get something for his nose, but he figured that some ice wouldn't be bad. He thought about having a broken rib as well. Zak had said something about that. He closed his eyes and tried to locate the pain again, but he failed again. He could only tell that it hurt very much. What would he even do if he had a broken rib? Would he just go to a doctor and what? Get a plaster around his torso? Or would the doctor have to operate him? He sighed. He didn't know, and he didn't want to think about it. At this moment, he heard the doorbell ring. His brows furrowed a bit while he tried to hear who his brother talked to. He couldn't understand a word, but because his brother let his door open, he could hear that his brother talked fast and quietly. As if he didn't want to get caught. That made him realize who rang the doorbell. Kian. Ascian didn't know what the two of them were talking about but he hoped that Zak would be nice to Kian this time and that he didn't let him in because Ascian knew that Kian wouldn't be able to take him like that. Then his parents came to him boiling hot. What would happen if they saw Kian in front of the house? He prayed to god that Zak would try to get Kian going home.
His heart stopped a short second when he heard footsteps coming to the front door. His father's footsteps. Fuck. Now Zak had a big problem. But because Zak helped him, Ascian decided to help him now. He slowly stood up as he heard how the front door closed. He could imagine his brother turning around just to look into their fathers eyes directly. That gave him enough strength to stand up and start walking to the stairs. Fuck, he thought. The stairs. He walked a little bit faster, glad to be on socks, so nobody would hear him.
As he finally went down the stairs that wide he was able to see his brother standing at the door, his whole body burned in pain and he thought he was very close to a collapse. While he was climbing down the stairs he was able to understand his father and he wasn't happy about it. When he looked up, one hand holding onto the railing of the stairs for his dear life, he saw Zak closing his eyes, and he was very glad to be there in the perfect second. He coughed a little to get the attention from his father and only from his father. Said man spun around and eyed him from top to toes. Ascian realised he wasn't wearing his hoodie anymore and the bruises probably started showing up. "Who was at the door?"He asked as innocently as he could and without any shaking in his voice. He was very proud of him for that. But just for a second because the eyes of his brother flew open and glared at him. His father turned his attention back to Zak to give him a death glare, then he disappeared into the kitchen again. He didn't know why but all at once the whole pain his body felt came back in one wave and he gave a short look to his brother before the pain got to much for him to take. The last thing he saw before he collapsed at the stairs was his brother rushing towards him.
When he opened his eyes again he saw his brother looking at him with a concerned look. Then the pain came back but it didn't hurt as much as it did before. He still had to hiss. "I would give you another one of the painkillers but then you would probably die because of an overdose, you know." His brother said. Ascian just nodded. He closed his eyes again and to his own surprise he was able to locate the pain now. Probably because it was less than before he collapsed. Most of the pain was at his upper chest and he figured that there he would have most of the bruises. He was very certain that none of his ribs were broken but his stomach hurt like hell as well.
"I can locate it now." Ascian told his brother. "And? Do you think you have a broken rib?", Zak answered, still concern in his voice. "No, I don't think so. But it still hurts like hell.", he answered his brother's question. "Yes and I can tell you it will hurt like that the next couple of days.", his brother told him. Ascian scoffed at that. "Thanks for helping me again, though.", he told his brother. "And thank you for rescuing me from dad.", his brother said very serious. "Why haven't we always been like that?", Ascian wondered. "I have no idea.", Zak answered, laughing lightly.
Then his laughter died out, and he scratched his neck. "Umm, by the way, the person at the door was Kian."he said while trying to avoid Ascians gaze. "Oh," he said. "What did he want?" Zak looked up. "You aren't angry at me for telling him to go away?" Ascian shaked his head. "No. What did he want, though?" Zak looked away again. "I don't know, I told him to come over again once our parents are away."he told his brother. Ascian nodded. "Okay." Zak looked up at him, a curious look in his eyes. "Are you two really not together? It would be cute somehow, I think." Ascian looked away from his brother. "He doesn't even know I'm gay. I'm scared to tell him, you know. Once, when we were at school, he laughed at two guys kissing, so yeah. I think he is a little homophobic and I decided not to tell him yet."A/N: Sorry, Kian is definitely NOT a bad guy in this story, and he'll prove that he is a very good best friend. I have something on my mind for that.
