"What is going on, Merida? What are you talking about?"
"Believe me, Mother. I was even as confused as you when I found out I was not bound to lead Nirvati. My entire life was dedicated to this town but then suddenly, I found out I was not bound to be the future Queen. I was confused, I felt betrayed, I felt used, but who am I to judge the creator? Who am I to question Nurthra when I owe my life to her? I owe my powers to her. She had given everything I shouldn't have in the first place."
Luana looked at her stomach once again and asked Merida to confirm if her guess is true. "What did the creator tell you?"
"That you were pregnant. Another girl was bound to be born here in Nirvati. The real future Queen of Nirvati. My sister. My Queen."
Luana stared at her stomach then back to her shaking hands then wrapped them around her stomach as if protecting the baby inside her. She looked at Merida once again and saw the truth in her eyes. She is not lying. If that's the case, then she needs to apologize for everything, especially to Merida. She did them wrong. She had given them so much pressure and burden. She must correct her wrongdoings.
Fritt went near Merida and held her hand as if she was afraid to let it go. It feels like any minute, her hands would slip away from everyone.
"Why did Nurthra choose me? She knew what I'd been through. She knew what happened to me before Luana found me. She knew how broken I was inside and out."
"I, myself, don't even know the reason why she did this. On why she chose me when she could have given it to others. There are a lot of questions inside my mind that seek an answer but the only thing I get as a response when I speak to her is peace of mind. As if everything I've been worrying about is gone. Nothing matters to me except that time when my mind is not chaotic."
"I cannot bring back Shunn, Merida. My power is not as powerful as yours. I have nothing in me. I only have myself too. Shunn is long gone. My town no longer exists. My people are buried six feet underground. I was the only one left."
Merida smiled at her and said, "Trust her. Trust Nurthra because she knows what she is doing. She may not give back what you have before, but she can give you a new life to start again."
Only that time when everyone gets to understand why Merida was gifted with many powers. Not because she was born for Nirvati to lead but because Nurthra lives in her. Nurthra chose her to be the one to protect all the towns she has created and cares for. All of the people inside the town either from Nirvati or Trigon were amazed by how Nurthra made it into the land without them noticing. All this time, Nurthra was with them. She knows what is going on with her people because she has Merida in her eyes. She has Merida to be her.
"Does this mean Luana never planned to take Trigon from me?" Talithy asked while holding her stomach.
"No. Only you will lead Trigon until you give birth to your child, Talithy. You were not also aware, right?"
"What are you talking about, Merida? You are confusing me."
"I heard you and my mother talking about how badly you want to have your own child and so, I talked to Nurthra that night and asked her to bless you with a child." Merida looked at everyone. They were waiting for her words. People are now listening to her just like how she wanted to do but, her mother wouldn't allow her. Now is the time that her voice would be heard. "I would also like to ask for forgiveness for the sudden ground shake. It was the time when I knew Nurthra was in me. She showed me everything. I vowed to do everything in my power to help all of the town, especially Shunn."
"She will bring back my town?"
"Yes, she will. Now, be who you are, Freya. Stay here as she builds your home again." She went to the center where people slowly walked towards the middle to listen to her words. "Nurthra bestowed me with powers that I was not so sure of at first. I was asking why. Why does it have to be me? What is the use of these powers I have when I am not permitted to be part of everything that is happening in this town? Then one night, she showed me who I was. She showed me that I was the chosen one to maintain peace and harmony in every town she has created and bring back life to what has been damaged. I wasn't ready for any of those things she told me but I gladly accepted because I know that trusting her words is the best thing to do. She created all of us and we must pay her respect."
"I am standing in front of you, asking all of you to stop fighting! No more killing! I want you all to be bound with love for each other like brothers and sisters. There is no room for anger and revenge. Let's end this."
"Merida was right!"
"Yeah!"
People started holding each other's hands as a sign of ending the war and forgiving each other. The scene in front of her put a big smile on her face as she looked at them with contentment. She felt fulfilled seeing the people unite and stop killing each other. Life is very precious to waste just by a single misunderstanding.
