Synopsis: Harry and Lola travel to Paris on their first holiday together
Lola's never been on a holiday abroad before.
Heather had taken her on small weekend trips to the beach but, other than that, she'd never been on a plane or travelled to a country where they didn't have English as their first language.
So, when Harry found out, he saved up to take Lola on her very first holiday.
Heather had been wary about it and understandably so. She'd never been so far apart from her daughter before. But Harry promised he would take care of her and make sure that everything was in the right place so that Lola was comfortable and happy. Heather agreed that the only other person who could offer Lola a safe and happy experience was Lola's boyfriend, Harry.
It wasn't a surprise trip.
Oh no, Lola hated surprises which Harry learnt very quickly into their relationship after he surprised her on her birthday the first year they started dating. Lola freaked out and Heather explained it was because Lola liked things to be in order and in check if she were to attend something.
Harry felt awful but Lola immediately forgave him when she registered what was going on, leaping into his arms and covering him in kisses.
"Harryyyyyy," Lola swung her legs back and forth as she sat on their bed.
"Babyyyyyy," Harry grinned, sitting on the floor with their suitcase laid out as he started to pack their things. "What can I help you with?"
"W-we need to p-pack our passports." She held up her brand new passport in front of Harry's face. He was pretty sure she was only saying that so she could show it off because she'd never had a passport of her own before.
"That's true Lola baby," He grabs her passport and flips to his favourite page.
Getting Lola's passport photo was a funny experience. She was confused as to why she didn't have to smile when she was told her whole life to say cheese when posing for a photo. Harry had to play a game of 'Simon Says' in order to get her to stop smiling.
"What a pretty girl!" He holds up the photo to show her and Lola groans.
"N-no Harryyyyyy!" She blinks.
"What? I can't say you're pretty?" He teases, leaning forward and resting his chin on her thigh.
"Y-You're pretty too!" She squeals, running a hand through his hair.
"Thank you Lola," He rolls his eyes and gets back to packing their suitcase.
Harry has to double-check everything he packs to make sure he's included everything Lola, Heather and himself wrote down on a huge list. Lola also checks the things Harry's packed just to be extra, extra careful.
