Synopsis: harry and lola experience their first argument.
It was a grey, dreary day in London much like any other day really. Harry had to work a nightshift at his new job at the hospital where he was currently training to be a nurse. It was a strange turn of events but he decided it was something he wanted to do part time as well as continue working at the community centre which he was pretty much in charge of due to Sarah having to go on leave due to an accident.
Today was a Sunday, Harry's favourite day of the week. It was the one day he had off every week and the only day he got to spend his entire twenty four hours with his little sunshine.
Lola had woken up in a bad mood this morning. The weather had been grey all week and so she hadn't been allowed to go outside very much. She loved the outdoors, she loved the sunshine and the sky and the birds that flew over her head once she stepped out the door. However, Lola couldn't experience that right now and that made her very cranky.
Harry tumbled into bed after removing his sweatpants and shirt and pulled Lola into his chest as tightly as he could. She giggled, the sound was music to his ears after a rough night at the hospital. "Hi baby," He whispers into her ear, she reaches behind and runs her fingers across his stubble, eyes still shut.
"Hiiiii," Her voice was raspy from sleep, it was only 5am but her body clock always woke her up at this time. It was the time Harry came home and everything in her knew that, it was almost as if she were made just for him.
"Sleep bug, tell me what I missed when you were sleeping when you wake up again." He pulls her tight and waits to hear the sound of her breathing change to indicate she had fallen asleep.
The same morning, Lola crawled out of bed in her pink, gingham cotton pyjamas. She tried her best not to disturb Harry despite the fact she wanted to crawl up next to him and squeeze him so tightly he would burst into a cloud of glittery confetti.
She opened the curtains in the kitchen and looked out at the weather. "O-Oh g-goodness L-Lola doesn't like that." She mutters, taking out a bowl from the cupboard and reaching for her fruit loops that had her name on so her other two favourite people wouldn't steal from her.
She huffed and puffed as she sat at the kitchen island, flinching as the rain smacked harshly against the window pane. Lola had to put her headphones on to watch cartoons just to block out the sounds of the rainy weather.
Harry walked into the living room where Lola was already dressed and sat on the couch. She looked zoned out, not really doing anything besides spending time in her own head. He chuckled, walking over to her and crouching down in front of her. He reached for her hands that were placed in her lap and cupped them to his lips. "Lolaaaaa,"
She didn't reply. "What am I missing hm? Don't leave me out. Where are you?" He kisses her fingertips and shuffles forward to press a kiss to the tip of her nose.
