~~~~~~ Dalia woke up to the sound of loud chatting! She rolled her eyes and got up to see who it was! When she opened her door and Uhtred widely grinned at her, she couldn't help but laugh! She let him and his men in and closed the door! Finan, Osferth and Sihtric sat down on her bed, whilst Uhtred preferred a chair! Dalia leaned against a wall, as she waited for any of them to speak up! After a little while, Osferth was the first one to speak... ~~~~~~
Osferth:"So Lady Dalia, how is life in Winchester?...(*Dalia smiled at the monk*)...has Edward enlisted you in his service yet?" Dalia:(*shook her head*)"No, but the young Prince was so charming and asked me to marry him!...(*Sihtric's eyes widened*)...I told him I needed time to think about it and he told me I would get all the time in the world...he would wait for me!" Sihtric:"In this case, do you say 'congratulations' or 'my condolences'?...(*Dalia shot him an angry look*)...doesn't he already have a wife?" Dalia:(*rolled her eyes*)"The marriage was annulled and somehow he got his parents to let him choose his next wife himself!...(*Sihtric got angry*)...but what do you care, Sihtric?" Uhtred:"He just wants to annoy you!...(*he shot Sihtric a warning look*)...congratulations on the possible engagement, Dalia!"
~~~~~~ Dalia widely smiled at Uhtred and then she looked at Sihtric! His gaze darkened and he played with his dagger! Osferth and Finan sighed, whilst Uhtred tried to get the young Danes attention! He failed and Sihtric made eye contact with Dalia...he was pissed and she was about to lose her shit! ~~~~~~
Uhtred:"When do you think you will have made a decision?...(*Dalia shrugged her shoulders*)...and do you tend to say yes or do you tend to say no?" Dalia:(*thought briefly*)"I tend to say yes, Uhtred!...(*he widely smiled at her*)...Edward was very kind to me when I moved here and he showed me around Winchester!" Finan:"We better be invited!...(*Dalia laughed*)...honestly, I am incredibly happy for you!" Osferth:(*nodded*)"I agree with that!...(*Dalia looked at Osferth*)...I think if Edward really likes a girl, he treats her the way she deserves! And since he seems to like you, consider yourself lucky!" Dalia:"I do, Osferth!...(*the monk widely smiled*)...a life in the palace must be dreamy! And once you learn to love each other, everything else comes naturally!" Sihtric:(*laughed maliciously*)"Keep telling yourself that, maybe it will come true!...(*Dalia turned her head*)...you deserve better!" Dalia:"You think so?...(*Sihtric nodded*)...if better is someone like you, then I don't want him! I will be Edward's wife whether you like it or not, Sihtric Kjartansson! You just got married too? Then why isn't my happiness due to me?!"
~~~~~~ Uhtred, Finan and Osferth flinched! Sihtric just kept playing with his dagger and when he stood up, he sent her a dirty look! Moments later he left her house and Dalia just shook her head! A few minutes later, Uhtred and the other two also left her house and rode back to Coccham! Dalia was still angry with Sihtric and decided to tell Edward her decision! It would be a big feast... ~~~~~~
