Several days have passed and the battlefield rots with the aroma of corpses, and yet the onslaught continues. Amidst the clashing of weapons and souls, the two leaders of seperate sides lock eyes with each other. They walk towards each other, stepping over the corpses and the dust of the fallen. Two menacing auras clash.

ASG: Why did it have to come to this, King Arthur?
ART: It is simply fate.
ASG: Then so be it.

Asgore and Arthur both dash forwards. Their weapons clash. Asgore manages to overpower Arthur and push him back. He goes for the follow up, but Arthur ducks under the trident and thrusts his sword upwards. Asgore barely manages to dodge and then launches a fireball from his palm, blowing Arthur away. The smoke dissipates and reveals Arthur who managed to block the attack. Asgore summons more fireballs and launches them his way. Arthur slices through them with his sword and then fires a concentrated fire beam himself. Asgore blocks the beam with his trident and dashes forwards. Arthurs' sword gets stuck in the trident, leaving an opening for Asgore to attack. Asgore tries to land a kick but Arthur conjures up a water shield in time to defend against the attack. Asgore backs up and lays a wall of fire around them. He then throws his trident towards his opponent. Arthur dodges and reacts in time to the advancing Asgore, who tries to catch him off guard. However, he didn't see the returning trident, suffering a small scratch on his cheek. Arthur rubs the blood with his finger.

ART: It's been some time since I've shed a drop of blood.
ASG: Be ready for more.
ART: You truly are my equal.

Arthur takes the initiative by charging up his sword with lightning. He goes for a fatal blow but Asgore manages to catch the attack, but still gets hurt from the shock. Arthur tries to land another blow but is unsuccessful. Asgore thrusts his trident in the ground, summoning a giant pillar of fire, engulfing Arthur inside. After it dissipates, Arthur comes out alive but injured.

ASG: You used water and air to lessen the damage done.
ART: You got that right, but now it's my turn.

Arthur presses his palm on the floor and freezes the entire battlefield, before raising his sword in the air and calling upon its' name.

ART: Harmonize, Twilight!

A calming wind blows past our warriors as a nostalgic aura falls upon the blade. Asgore looks shocked.

ASG: You hold one of the sacred weapons... but how?!
ART: A deal was made. It cost a lot but in the end, it's all worth it.

Asgore looks disappointed. He raises his trident and points it towards Arthur.

ASG: You treat it as if it was just a weapon.
ART: What are you talking about?
ASG: I feel a presence resonating inside of it.

Arthur laughs.

ART: Then how about I show you just how powerful I really am?!
ASG: Power has driven you mad.

Both leaders concentrate all of their energy on their weapons, culminating into one devastating attack.

ART: Sacred Soul Power, Forever-Lasting Paradise!
ASG: Soul Power, Breath of Hades!

A bright light engulfs the area. Two powerful forces clash, each one wanting to devour the other, and in the end, only one came out victorious.

ART: Hah! It's as you said. Seems like I haven't fully mastered this new power.
ASG: I'm afraid so, friend.
ART: Guess that means you won. Humanity has lost.
ASG: You're mistaken. This battle might've gone in my favor but the war is ultimately going to be won by the humans. It's only a matter of time before we have to flee.
ART: Oh, I see. Well, in any case, It was fun having one last duel with you.
ASG: It's quite a shame it had to end like this.
ART: Yeah, who knows, maybe my two kids would've had fun playing with your kid.
ASG: Maybe, remind me of their names again.
ART: I'm lucky to have two, a boy and a girl. The boy's named by his mother. She chose a pretty royal sounding name, Alexander. I had the liberty of naming the girl, Chara.
ASG: They both have pretty names.
ART: Thanks, *cough* seems like my time is finishing up. It was nice knowing you, my friend.
ASG: You too.

Asgore closes Arthurs' eyes and lays him to rest. He stands up and pays his respects.

ASG: Farewell, Arthur Lyerm.

Arthurs' sword dissolves into thin air and disappears. Asgore turns around and heads off to continue battle, but before long, humans came out victorious, banishing the monsters to the underground.
