Next day Kuu woke up in his mothers jaws. When his vision cleared, he saw the ground moving beneath him.
She was walking calmly, as to not wake her sleepy son up, and judged by the surraundings, she has been walking for a while.

He yawned and stretched a little to let his mom know that he was awake.
She stopped her tour and put her child down.

"Good morning Kuu."

Y/n said as she nuzzled her muzzle to her sons fur.

"Good morning mom."

He was now stretching fully and yawned again. He wondered why had his mother carried him away while he was still sleeping. She said that they would get to safer areas, perhaps there was danger near and they had to move. But then she would be running and that would wake him up, or the danger already approached and mom took care of it and was now victoriously walking away, but that would also wake him up.
Or it could be simply a gut feeling, nobody exept his mother knows.
But he knew it didn't have a meaning to ask her.

"Are you hungry?"

His mom broke his train of thoughts.
He looked at her.

"A little."

Y/n knew this meant that she would have to leave her son once again.
She looked around, and saw a hole in the ground. 'Probaly an old rabbit hole or something.'
She sniffed the air for any threat. None. Making her way to the hole, her pup following her, she spoke to her child.

"You know the rules. I will get back and you will fill your tummy."

She licked her son as he gigled.
He maneged to get to the rabit hole, while his mother was already walking away.

Y/n was walking among the trees carefully, sniffing and looking for her sons breakfeast.
Her steps were almost unhearable, she has picked a faint scent.
It was quite a while sence she left her child in the hole.

She followed it and saw a squirell on a branch that wasn't that high from the ground,
Carelessly eating something.
Y/n prepered for a jump, waiting for the moment.

She then launched while taking another bounce from the trunk of the tree. Catching the squirell with her fangs and landing firmly on the ground. She made sure it was quick for it, so it didn't have to suffer.

She were already in sight of the hole,
The smell of food already getting to the little pups nose.
When he smelled the dear scent of his mother, Kuu rushed out of the abandoned old rabit hole to greet her.

Y/n put the squirell down and greeted her son, her e/c eyes meeting his blue ones. Kuu was really hungry so he started his feast.

When Kuu ate all of it, there was a rest time.

"Kuu, do know what time is it?"

Kuu lifted his head and looked curiously at his mother.

"I don't know. What time?"

Y/n smiled as she jumped a little before saying

"Play time!"

Kuus eyes widened at the answer, he never expected to play in their situation. While his mother just smiled.
Y/n knew that Kuu had to have some fun, and still play like he normally would. It was pups' way of learning after all.

They had been jumping around and chasing each other for a while, now both of them were getting tired.
Then, a beautiful blue butterfly was flying around. Y/n, who was lying, was looking at it with a smile, while Kuu, who was sitting, was looking at it with curiosity.

"What a beutifull butterfly, isn't it?"

Y/n stated.
The butterfly disappeared and the wolf female was getting up.
They would be walking just for a moment this time, before they got to a beatifull place.

There were leaf trees around, beautifully green. And a very little clearing, which had a carpet of soft moss, here and there were spaces with grass. Birds chirping a beautiful song, and little to no clouds in the sky.
But the most charming thing was, that there were deer grazing on the grass.

Y/n calmly, without any rush, lead her son to the deer.
They stiffened, but when they saw the calmnes in her eyes, and no bad intentions in her movements, they relaxed.

She lay down on the moss as Kuu sat down. Y/n smiled at her child as he stared at the deer in amazment.
The deer continued to eat the grass, unbothered by their presence.

Kuu suddenly gasped when he saw a baby deer drinking its mothers milk.
It stopped and looked over at Kuu before bringing it's attention to other things. The mother stiffened at the presence of predators near her baby.
It had to be fine if the herd didn't run but she was still protective as every mother would. She watched the wolves intensly.
Y/n and her made eye contact, they were staring into each others eyes while the birds were chirping in the background. And then the deer knew that she had nothing to worry about, that look said everything, it was mother to mother.

The deer continued to eat while the little family was enjoying peace.
That was until there were loud sounds and rustling coming from the bushes. The deer immediately started to flee as the wolf mother got into a protective stance infront of her son.
Whatever was coming, it was not good.
