2nd POV

You woke up well rested after a long time. A yawn made it's way to your mouth. Your gaze traveled to the spot next to you, only to find it empty.

Your eyes widdened as all the peace left your body. You jumped up and ran straight for the main cave.

"WHERE IS KUU!?!"

You yelled out bevildered, for Mal to answer you.
You looked around frantically and calmed down immediately after you saw your little Kuu softly munching meat at her legs. A sigh escaped your lips (snout?).

"I'm sorry, he was hungry and I didn't want to wake you up, seeing as you were having a good rest.."

She shyly and carefully explained while wiggling on the spot, as if unsure if you're gonna yell at her or not. You smiled at Kuu who muffedly greeted you in the meantime.
Mal looked at you expectantly.

"It's alright, just don't do it again. I think I got a heart attack."

You said as you sighned again. After Kuu swallowed his food he trotted over to you with a smile.

"Hi mom! How did you sleep?"

You couldn't help but smile back at the little cutie.

"Really well, and you?"

His smile widdened as he jumped around. You rised your leg so he'd have more space.

"Very good! I had a dream about a rabbit!"

He said so brightly. It was so unlike for him to be happy, but here you were.

"That's nice."

He continued his little search around the cave room as Mal was about to say something, when Micco walked in.

"Oh, you're awake. The rest of the pack will be arriving from the hunt today."

3rd POV

The f/c female was not very happy, this meant more people to watch out for. But she had most of her strenght back, so she still could put up a fight.

"And you don't know when are they coming percisely, do you?"

She asked as Mal went to another cave to take care of something.
Micco noticed Y/n's expresion and realized that this information was more of a complication rather then a reason to be happy.

"Somewhere around afternoon or so. But don't worry, one of them is our eldest and wisest, and the others are young, but not completly stupid."

Micco said with a friendly smile, he was trying to make her feel welcomed and not threatened. She was most likely gonna stay with them, for a long time if not forever.
He was still a little unsure of her, not opposed or untrusting towards her though. After all she is just a mother who lost her pack and just wants to protect her child, and make good conditions for it's life.

Kuu was very excided. He loved his mother very much and most in the whole world, but it was just nice to see other wolves who aren't enemies.
He couldn't contain his joy, after all, he was still just a pup.
He walked over to Micco and with happiness asked.

"Can we play?"

While he play bowed and his tail wagged wildly. Micco looked down on him and his look softened.

"Why not."

He then looked up as if he realized, that one wrong move could get him hurt.

"Only if your mother's okey with it, of course."

He watched Y/n with unceartainty if he messed up or not in his eyes.
Y/n was shocked by Kuu's question, but it was to be expected for him to want to socialize with other wolves.
She gave it a thought, Micco was wise, he wouldn't do anything shady, if anyone would then it would be Silver.
She decided to allow it, she wasn't going to let them out of her sight anyway.

"Okay."

Micco's eyes widdened, but soon he smiled before he started playing with Kuu. They jumped and chased each other around.

Y/n lied down and observed them. It was nice for her to see that her son can have fun without her. Besides, it was gonna help him to not be depending on her so much. Not that she wouldn't be there for him from now on, no. He could always depend on her, but he will someday have to live without her. It wouldn't be a problem if the day only came eventually, she and life would prepare him for that, but it could come at any time.

Everybody dies, sooner or later, that's life.

While Y/n was observing the duo play, something tugged in her, Kuu just looked so...... happy.
There was no trace of the mark from the bear attack on him.
It was pleasing to the mother's eyes

Maybe this could work out.
