The deer were already gone when the animal making the loud noise ran out of the bushes. It was a boar!
It looked really hungry, like it would eat anything. It was making aggressive noises as it took a fighting stance.

You immediately copied its actions after sending a signal to Kuu to stay low,
baring your teeth, nose wrinkled, ears high, looking it dead in the eyes, seeing as it was about same hight as you, and growling loudly.

It was walking in half circles infront of you. Saliva dripping from it's mouth, it looked crazy from hunger, which was weird due to the fact that there IS food around here, at least you didn't have any major problems with finding food.

Any thoughts you had were interupted with the boar charging at you. You jumped towards it in an attempt to do some demage and keep it away from your son.

You bit down on it's back as it made a noise of pain. It kept struggling and jupming around to get you off of it, and it was succesfull. You landed and growled once more with a bark. It ran up to you and you dodged to the left, then to the right, you couldn't dodge the third attack. It hit you in the side and a little on stomach. You jumped at the boar, bitting on it's neck. You clasped your jaws down as hard as your teeth could bare and clawed the boars side.
It roared and struggled more, it threw you off again and charged at you once more. It hit you succesfully, making your right back leg bleed.
You yelped and clawed the already bleeding wound on the boars side, making it bleed more.
You then jumped off and increased the distence between you and your enemy, leaving it to bleed out while charging at you.
Kuu was hidden not that far behind a tree, watching his mother fight for his safety.
The boar was getting weaker from the blood loss, you took this opertunity and attacked its neck once more while bringing it to the ground with your paws. You let go of its neck and rised your heavy paw ready to bring the last hit.
As your paw came down on its head, its eyes became dull.

You breathed heavely and sat down to rest. Kuu ran to you from his hideout and leaned against you, making sure you were alright. You smiled at him.

"Go eat up."

He smiled too and went happily to eat, you checked your wound and thank god it was nothing fatal, it would heal in a day or two and wouldn't be an obstacle.

Its been sometime and the boar was almost eaten. You left the place of the fight and the dead enemy for other animals. It started to rain, just great.

You decided that you would be wandering around to find a beautiful place to make your new home, but now, you were searching for a shelter from the rain.

You found a half fallen tree and decided to spend the night there. Sometimes you would walk through the night and sleep in the day, But not this time.

You were both watching the rain as the sky was already dark. There was a comfortable silence between you two, until Kuu broke it.

"It's beautiful. Mom?"

You nodded your head for him to continue.

"Do you think we will meet other wolves from our pack?"

You thought for a second before giving your son a sad but reasuring smile.

"I don't think so. Most of the survivors headed the opposite direction, to where we knew it, and some may have stayed at the ruins after the fire."

"Ok.."

Kuu looked down at your explonation. He knew you were right, like always. He was getting sleepy and you noticed that.

"Come on, lets go to sleep. You need lots of energy for tomorrow."

Kuu obeyed and went to sleep, keeping himself warm in your fur, falling asleep minutes after.
