Josef

I woke up the next morning to find myself in the middle of the ocean. And I was looking around myself, wondering how my bed had moved to be in the middle of the ocean. I couldn't see anything around me. Just look beyond the sea; a great mist is coming towards me in the distance.

How did I get here? And when I was in the middle of my thoughts, I found a high tsunami wave coming towards me with the fog.

I tried to escape. I tried to swim, swim, and swim, but I couldn't survive; the ocean ate me.. Fighting with death, I was choking. I thought it was the end, so I gave up and closed my eyes. I even said the shahadah* in my last breath.

I found myself opening my eyes and lying on my bed in my bedroom. I was like, "What? It was all a dream?" But I thought it couldn't be just a dream; I thought it was a message. I felt this dream so bad; I felt the chocking, and I remember every detail in the dream. It's not a normal nightmare; that's what I believed deep down. Anyway, I shook my head to get rid of these thoughts and remembered that I had to go to the rest of the boys' homes to check on them, hoping to find them and ask them about Mazen and Peter.

I ate some noodles that I found in my storage, and I went to Shadi's house. It wasn't that far. Actually, we all live near each other because of the college. So, I went to his address, and I was sure that this was the right house because I had visited it several times.

I knocked on the door, and a kid opened it. I assumed that he was Shadi's little brother, who's called Muhab. Shadi told me about him. And I waved at him and said, "Hi little bro, you must be Muhab, right? How are you? I'm Shadi's friend Josef; can I see him for a bit?"

The shock was all over his face, and he closed the door in my face. I heard him screaming and telling his parents, "Mom! Dad! There's some weird guy with one leg who knows my name outside!! Is he a pirate who wants to kidnap me?!" I laughed after hearing this and thought that he was saying that because he hadn't seen me before. But what relieved me was that I made sure that he was Muhab. And then his dad opened the door again; he was so sweet that he told me, "Get out of here, you pirate! Muhab is so strong that he'll kill you!" and then he winked at me. I understood the assignment and said, "Oh my god, no, please don't hurt me." The little kid replied, "Argh! Get out of here!" and then his mom took him inside, and the father said, "I'm really sorry for what the kid has done. Who are you?" and I replied, "It's okay, sir. I'm Josef and Shadi's friend; can I see him for a bit?"

And that was his response: "Shadi? I'm sorry, but we don't have someone named Shadi here; you might've mistaken the address."

"Again...? How could I be mistaken?" That's what I thought, and then I thanked him and left him. Next, I went to Haroon's villa; it was really huge and luxurious. But when I knocked on the door and his father opened it with a rope, it was the same conversation again: "I don't have someone named Haroon here." Again...? How could I be mistaken? That's what I thought, and then I thanked him and left him.

to be continued...

Are you enjoying the novel so far? ^^

Sorry for interrupting the novel all of a sudden; I just had one thing to explain.

Be patient~

Anyway, the non-Muslims or the newbies in Islam might not understand the meaning of "shahadah," so let me be your guide for a few seconds.

Declare the shahadah (testimony of faith): The dying person who is going through the agony of death and is able to speak is advised to recite the shahadah, or the declaration of faith, "I bear witness that there is no god except Allah (God) and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (God)." That's it.

Also, when a non-Muslim person wants to enter Islam, he\she must say it.
