Bianca's POV:
"Come on, Wednesday. It's not that bad."
Wednesday continues to pace her way to her dorm. I follow closely behind, wanting to put her out of her bad move. I don't think I've ever seen a colder shoulder.
"I mean, sure, I might have mistakenly rubbed it in but it's not that bad."
Wednesday abruptly spins and looks directly at me. I freeze before I can run into her.
"Not that bad?"
Beat
She steps closer. Oh shit.
"Not. That. BAD!?"
"DON'T KILL ME I'M SORRY!"
Wednesday steps back, and takes a deep breath (which looks more like the casual inhale on her) before stepping inside her dorm. I follow, for no real reason but to soothe Wednesday's mood. Why? Because I'm a good person who is able to show selfless emotions like empathy and compassion and use them for the greater good.
No other reason.
"Wednesday, just look at me."
"Wednesday? Don't you mean Morticia?" She deadpans.
She throws her bags on her bed and sits on her desk chair. Her posture is ever so slightly hunched. She must really be pissed. I walk and sit on her bed. She spins her chair so that she looks directly at me.
"You're being dramatic, no one is going to compare you to your mother because of this."
"You did."
"Well yeah but- since when do you care about what others think?"
Beat
"I don't."
Could've fooled me.
"Look, I get it. You're annoyed, you're stressed, you're PMS-ing."
"How did you know that?"
"Your cycle syncs with everyone the second you step foot in Nevermore. It's an outcast thing- that's not the point."
"I'm just sick of this place."
Wednesday randomly moves from her chair onto her bed. She's sitting next to me. Holy shit, we're so close.
"It's like I can never have one normal night."
"There is no way 'you' and 'normal' are in the same sentence."
"I'm not talking about normie normal. I just... want to sleep."
Wow. I didn't know Addamses go through exhaustion. Though to be honest, I don't know what I was expecting. She is human, after all.
I guess I forgot that.
"You're taking on too much at once, Wednesday. You need to learn to take things one step at a time. Relax a bit. And stop counting the amount of words I've said since I stepped into your dorm."
"113 words- I mean I don't need to 'relax'. I need to get things done."
"And you should. But you should also slow your pace. You already took down a whole reincarnated supernatural pilgrim, you need the break."
She takes a moment to consider this. Her eye moves to the left, then move back to face me.
"I won't have one for a while. I haven't written a word for my new novel, I haven't even started dissecting that wolf cub I found the other day, We still need to pick the location for the tournament-"
