Connie and Daryl had been arguing about a certain topic for a while now and it was over Daryl leaving to go to France for Rick.

"It'll be for 2 months at most Connie, Rick needs me Connie I know he's there." Daryl signs with his hands trying to capture what he's saying as he signs slowly trying to get through Connie's brain

While Connie on the other hand was signing faster than Daryl could ever imagine as she was frustrated at him. "You're not going to some other community Daryl it's a whole different country with a different language and culture!" She shouted in sign language as her hands moved

"You're more likely to be there for two years rather than two months Daryl!" Connie explained as she felt it was unrealistic of Daryl to assume he would be in France for only two months.

Because one he's going to another country to find his brother Rick but where in the country, he doesn't know yet. Two he doesn't know the language and could get seriously hurt or something dangerous could happen because he doesn't understand what people are saying

"You don't know what it's like to lose a sibling Connie!" Daryl spoke using his voice loudly instead of signing as he was speaking out of guilt, it as he then pauses and takes a deep breath trying to calm himself down so the two could communicate

"I can't lose him Connie, not like I lose Merle." Daryl went back to signing so she could understand what he was saying. He had felt guilty for not doing enough to stop Merle's death even though it wasn't his fault his older brother got bitten.

He couldn't lose Rick, especially after the bridge explosion where he thought he had lost him. And now that there are signs Rick is out there alive, there is nothing that's going to stop him from going to France.

"Daryl I'm pregnant." Connie signs as her hands were now shaking at the realization that he's going to leave her alone with a baby

"What?" Daryl signs a bit confused as he didn't understand what Connie was signing till she left to go get something. He knew it was serious by the way her hands were shaking out of fear

Connie wrote down the words on the old notepad she used to write on as the words "I'm pregnant" appear, then it hit Daryl all at once as his eyes widen

"W-what?" He stutters out using his voice as he looks down at her stomach and then at her, he was now conflicted with what to choose.

It was between Rick and Connie now. His mind was racing as he looks around the room thinking then he saw a tear stream down her face as he quickly went to her and embrace her in a hug

"Connie I.." he spoke then remembered she couldn't see his lips to read them as he then pulled away. He made his decision as he looks at her with a sympathetic look

"Connie I'm sorry.. but Rick needs me." He signs his hands shaking as he felt his eyes start to water at his decision. "..Connie I trust that you'll protect the baby.. and I'll even get Carol to make sure you are supported while I'm gone.. and.."

Connie stares at him in disbelief at what she's seeing him say as she looks into his eyes then signs interrupting him" Are you serious? Daryl I can't do this alone, I need you"

"You won't be alone though! Carol will be there to help you" Daryl signs as he looks into Connie's eyes with a look of certainty he then grabs both of her shoulders and gets right into Connie's view so she could see his lips clearly as he spoke

"I.Will.Be.Back." Daryl spoke clearly as he knew this decision would break both of their hearts but Daryl had to do it. He couldn't leave Rick out there alone and possibly in danger. He then releases Connie's shoulders from his grip.

Seeing Connie cry made him feel guilty as he knew in his heart it was the right call for him. He would see his son or daughter the moment Rick got back and everything would be Normal he thought

But Connie wasn't giving up she decided to give one last attempt at making Daryl stay she then looks at him with a serious expression as she then starts to sign more calmly

"If you leave to go to France, you and I are done. No second chances" Connie signs with one last attempt to make him stay for their child and her.

The moment Daryl saw Connie sign that he felt anger and confusion hit him all at once. Was she seriously threatening to break up with him because he was leaving to go to France? He felt like time slowed down as he is now visibly trying to calm himself down.

"Connie.. you don't mean it." He signs back thinking she's not serious as he thought she was just acting out on high tension

"I mean it, Daryl. You're going to be gone for maybe two years and that leaves me alone throughout my pregnancy and early stages of infancy." Connie explains her reasonings as he looked a bit confused

"But what about Carol?" Daryl asked signing as she then signs back "What about you?! You are the baby's father and my boyfriend. Daryl, I need you and if you walk out that door you and I are done I'm serious."

She signs out as she then saw Daryl start to walk towards the door, his hand was trembling as he held the doorknob. Was this really about to be the end of their love story, their family

He then turns around and looks directly at Connie as he then signs with a look of heartbreak and possibly regret on his face as he tries to hold back any tears he has.

"I love you, Connie.. Goodbye.." He signed one last time then turned around and grabbed the doorknob, turning it as he then exited their home one last time.

Connie's heart shattered into a million pieces as the love of her life left their home as the door officially closed their relationship, leaving her alone with a child not knowing what to do or how to feel, she quickly dropped to the floor and started to cry into her hands letting out so many emotions of anger, sadness, and confusion into the hands that she uses to communicate, but yet she couldn't communicate how alone she truly felt now.
