I wanted to die, right then and there. What's with these girls and exposing all my dark secrets! Especially in front of my illegally adopted children?
"Oh yeah, Gray was quite the hooker back in the day!" Bella blabbed on, resting her hands on the back of her head.
"Shut up! I was never a hooker!" I interrupted, worriedly glancing back at Crimson. He just sat there, staring at his food, looking as if he was about to fall into his tray from drowsiness. Crossing my arms, I added, "For your information, I've never considered even kissing a girl before."
"Yeah cuz the one he's got eyes for isn't a girl." Artemis muttered to Crimson. I threw a lamp at him.
"I don't believe it!" Bella huffed, now stealing my whole damn omelette.
"It's true." Pearl sighed, crossing her arms. I held my breath. I knew exactly where this conversation was headed. "I should know."
I looked away, pretending not to hear a thing. The ceiling just looked very interesting all of a sudden.
"Oh right, you two used to be a thing." Bella recalled, placing a finger on her chin.
"FOR LIKE A WEEK!" I interrupted once again.
"And then what happened?" Artemis gasped. Of course he was so engaged in learning about my oh so traumatic past. His eyes were sparkling with curiosity.
"And then Jasper came along." Pearl explained casually. "He had this thing for either stealing, or scaring away everyone who showed any interest in Gray."
Ah, Jasper. Gotta love the guy.
"Oh right, I remember that!" Bella chuckled. "Rumours say that Jasper was jealous of ya, Gray."
How flattering.
"Tch, well he came in as a blessing for all of us." Pearl grunted, her amber eyes meeting with mine. "You wouldn't even hold hands with anyone! Or even smile!"
I shouldn't have complained earlier. I missed when she'd stare at her phone and keep her mouth shut. She spoke too much now.
"Those hands are reserved for someone else." Artemis muttered. I threw another lamp at him. Seriously, where are these random lamps coming from?
"Alright, enough storytime." I yawned, getting up from the bed, handing the rest of my tray over to Bella, who looked delighted and dug in. "I gotta head to the library before class."
