AVERYS POV
And there we sat on the bench, looking at each other with blank stares in the middle of New Yorks busy streets.
I seen a lump in his pocket, it was a square shape, I smiled.
Awkward silence filled the air as we laugh, being 19, I didn't know what to expect from him anymore.
Johnnie sat there, dazing at me like I was the only star in the sky.
He got up and pulled my hand, it was getting late.
We went over to a water fountain and stood there, speaking words with eyes.
He kissed my lips and whispered, "I love you."
"I love you too," I whispered as his eyes glimmered in the sun set.
"Close your eyes," he said.
I closed my eyes and waited.
"Open."
I opened my eyes and seen him down on one knee and holding a box that's open with a ring inside.
Tears of joy leaked from eyes as I nodded yes and hugged him tight. Everyone clapped and cheered around us as he kissed me.
I smiled, blushing constantly. I couldn't be happier.
20 Minutes Later
"Mom?" I said over the phone.
"Hi, sweetie," she replied.
"I got great news," I said excitingly.
I could feel her smile over there phone, "which is?"
" I'm engaged!" I screeched.
"Oh my gosh, yay!" She cheered and yelled over the phone.
We discussed every single detail of it and how the wedding was going to be planned. I couldn't comprehend anything as this point. Right now, life was a big blur.
