(Aspen)

(The next day)

My body jolts up from my bed and I feel tears running down my face. I wipe them away and try to slow my breathing down. My sobs begin to fall silent and when I turn my head to look at the time on my alarm clock I see it's one hour before I need to get up for my first class. I sigh and run a hand down my face in exhaustion before dragging my self out of bed to make some toast. There's no point in me trying to sleep when I have to be up in a few minutes anyway.

I'm not surprised when I see Brandon already sitting on the couch with a bowl of cereal watching TV. "Morning Bran" I say sweetly. "Good morning." He replies with a mouth full of cereal. I chuckle, put some bread into the toaster and wait patiently for it to pop up. I see Brandon stand up and walk towards me, he puts his empty bowl in the sink next to me and lifts himself up so he's sitting on the counter top next to me and the toaster.

"You doing anything today?" He asks me. "Definitely not, I just wanna get through this shit as fast as humanly possible." I reply. He laughs at my honesty and when it becomes quite again my toast pops up. I carefully grab it and place it onto the counter while I grab the butter. As I begin spreading a generous amount of butter on the toast he quietly admits, "I'm seeing Miles today."

He says it carefully as if he's worried about my resection. I pause for a second before continuing to spread the butter. I look up at him with a smile, just happy that he's being so open with me again. "Have fun, you deserve to be happy" I say. He smiles and hops off the counter to go get ready for class while I take my first bite of toast. While I don't agree with the whole Brandon and professor Carson situation, it makes me happy to see him happy. He deserves it, this and so much more.

(A few hours later)

I walk into my physics classroom and internally groan when I see Theo sitting in my seat. This boy has some fucking attachment issues with me I swear. I storm over and stop in front of his- my desk. "Move your ass Theo."

He looks up at me unimpressed and points behind me. I spin around and my body sags when I see the professor has changed the seating plan, now Theo sits right next to me. Yay. This is just what I needed today. I sigh in annoyance and tighten my lips into a tight thin line while I walk round to the seat next to him and aggressively throw myself down along with my bag and lean back in my seat while huffing. I can practically feel his eyes rolling.

"Psst, psst!" I hear behind me. I turn around in my seat and see.. Chase? The boy from the party? He looks up at the professor while she's talking to make sure she doesn't look over at us and catch us talking and passes me a note. I turn back around to face the front while I discreetly read the note from under the desk.

Call me ;)

I huff out a laugh at the thought I would ever date him. Nothing against him but there's just no fucking way I'd go there. He's nice and seems polite but I know his type. He's an over the top, loud, obnoxious, popular boy who hangs out with boys like him. I don't think I'll ever be in a relationship if I'm being honest. I can't imagine trusting someone enough to open up and tell all your secrets to and put all your faith in when you know they could just completely betray you after everything you've been through. Yeah no thanks. I'll save myself that heartbreak.

I fold the note up and tuck it into my black leather jacket pocket. I feel eyes on the side of my face when I start to focus on the teacher again so I turn my head and meet Theo's gaze. "Jesus dude what do you want?" I mumble. My face scrunched up in confusion and disgust. He glanced back at Chase who's sitting on the row behind us before looking at me again and sagging down in his seat like how I am, "Doesn't seem like your type" he says under his breath with a shrug.

"Well that's none of your business" I reply. He looks bored,
"Didn't say it was smurfette."
"Oh my god would you fucking stop with that name. It's stupid and it doesn't even make sense." I snap. Trying to remain quite so I don't attract the professors attention.
"Of course it makes sense"
"How the hell does it make sense?"
He lifts his hand up and touched the ends of my blue hair with his fingertips. I immediately clench my jaw and slap his hand away.

"Yeah I get that. Ha.Ha. I have blue hair but your dumbass nickname still doesn't make any fucking sense. Smurfette has blonde hair." I say unenthusiastically.
"She's got blue skin and your hair was blonde before you decided to ruin it with that colour."
"Awh well it's a good thing I didn't do it for you." I say with a mocking tone.
"Whatever" he mumbles before turning his head back to face the front of the classroom. I do the same.

"Who'd you do it for?" I hear him quietly ask after a few minutes of peace.
"My god can you shut up?"
"No who'd you do it for?"
"Do what for?"
"Dye your hair, who'd you do it for?"
The question brings a frown to face and causes my eyes to tear up. Memories of him flashes in my mind and I gulp, silently begging the tears to disappear before they fall down my face. Sadly one tear betrays me and glides down my cheek, I'm quick to wipe it away and sniffle while facing the front and ignoring the fucking dickhead beside me.

Fuck him and fuck his useless fucking questions. He has no fucking idea.

"Whatever." I mumble.
