(Aspen)
"Theo?"
"Congratulations your eyes seem to be working just fine tonight smurfette." He replies in his usual jackass tone. I stop walking just as he stops the car. "Shut up and just tell me what you want?" I snap while rolling my eyes.
"Get in." He says.
"What?"
"Get. in."
"Fuck.no." I copy him.
I carry on walking, expecting him to give up and stop acting like some chivalrous knight in shiny armour. I'm surprised he doesn't fucking run me over to be honest. But he doesn't. I hear a car door slam shut from behind me and when I turn I see him storming towards me but my brows furrow when I see the look on his face. He looks like he's fucking livid. As if he's not the one that's stopped me from my journey home. He's so annoying.
He continues his stride towards me until we're close up, face to face. I can feel his hot, unsteady breaths fan my face, "what the hell was that?" He spits, his voice laced with anger and venom. Okay now I'm confused. My brows pull together even more as my eyes search his face for any signs that he's joking or just trying to be funny. But he's not.
"The fuck are you talking about Theo?" I snap back at him.
"I'm talking about whatever fucking shit that was in there." He aggressively points his finger in the direction of the house where the party was being held. Before I can reply he gets even more up in my face like he's trying to scare me off or something. No fucking way.
Now I'm pissed off.
"I have no idea what the fuck your talking about but you need to back the fuck up before I stab you in the eye with my heel." I snap. I press my hands to his chest in attempts to push him away and create some much needed space between us but I fail, it's like trying to move a fucking brick wall. He audibly swallows and intakes a sharp, shallow breath which just proves he's as frustrated as me.
He steps away from me and breaks eyes contact to look back at his car before meeting my eyes again. "Please just get in the car. It'll be faster and your shivering because it's cold as shit. Your wasting time the longer we stand here when you could already be home." He says. It's like it's causing him physical pain to actually be nice to me and say 'please'. But I guess what he's saying does make sense, Brandon's waiting up for me and he wants to talk. So I huff and roll me eyes before walking to his car door. He does the same and gets in behind the steering wheel.
He starts driving after I tell him where my apartment is and we sit in silence. The alcohol causes me to suddenly become hot so I go to roll down the passenger side window but I hear his voice cut sharp, "No."
"What?"
"Don't touch my car, it's not yours."
"You practically threw me in your car and now you don't want me touching it?" I ask with a shocked tone. He sighs and rubs his temple with the hand that's not on the wheel. Unbelievable. He's acting like I'm the one annoying him. Lord please give me strength to not kill this man.
We finally pull up outside my apartment and I waste no time getting the hell away from him, I'm halfway out the door when I mutter a "thank you" but then I hear the car window roll down and his stupid voice invaded my ears once again. "Smurfette!" I roll my eyes at the nickname and screw my lips up in a tight line to keep my cursing to myself. I turn around to see his head sticking out the window and he's got that stupid angry look on his face once again,
"Keep your eyes on the person your kissing next time." He snaps. I arch an eyebrow at him before replying, "Right back at you."
I open my door quickly so I don't have to hear another word out of his mouth and shut it behind me. I hear the tires of his car screech against the road, telling me he's driven off. Thankfully. I hear a noise behind me and when I turn I see Brandon leaning against the sofa with his arms crossed. "Hey" I breath out.
"Sit." He says.
"Okay." I say as walk next to him as we both sit together on the couch. I raise my eyebrows in question to what he wants to talk about, he's fucking stressing me out with all this anticipation. He sighs and removes his glasses and places them on the coffee table in front of us. "I've been seeing someone for the past few months but um- he's um.."
Wait what?! How the hell have I missed this? He has been acting a little off for a while now but I thought it might be stress from studying so late at night. I push past my thoughts and choose to be grateful he's finally telling me about it and opening up to me. I clear my throat, "he's what? is he not treating you right? Give me his name and I'll have him sent to another fucking planet by the morning." He laughs at my comment but I don't. What's the joke? You fuck with him and I'll fuck with you. That's how it's always been and it's not gonna stop just because of some douchebag.
"No, no he's not doing anything like that but he basically wants us to be a secret, and we have been for a while now but I feel like he's just using me now. But I think I'm starting to fall in love with him. And I don't know what to do." He speaks so fast I struggle to process what he says for a minute. I place my hand on his back and rub up and down in an attempt to console and comfort him. It's not the first time we've had this conversation, in high school there was a few guys who wanted to experiment with him but then they would tell him they were straight or wanted them to be a secret. It broke his heart so much and I was there for him ever time. And I'll be here forever.
"Who is he?" I ask softly, leaning my head on his shoulder while caressing his arm with my hand.
"His name is Miles." He says. There's a pause for a second before he speaks up again,
"Its professor Carson...."
My face drops as I sit back up properly to see if he's fucking with me or not. He's not.
"Our english professor?!"
