In search of love

In search of love, I wander far,
Across the lands and seas.

To meet the girl who stole my heart,

And set my soul at ease.

Through fields and forests, I make my way,

With a hope that never fades.

For the one who waits at journey's end,

Is worth a thousand shades.

The sun and stars may guide my path,

But love is my true north.

With each step, my heart beats fast,

For what my eyes will soon unearth.

The mountains rise and fall in turn,

As I make my way ahead.

The rivers run with gentle grace,

And the birds sing overhead.

In every new and foreign land,

I search for signs of her.

The scent of flowers on the breeze,

Or a distant murmur.

But when at last, I reach her side,

And gaze into her eyes,

All the miles and steps I've taken,

Are worth the sweet surprise.

For love and travelling are intertwined,

In the journey of the heart.

And in the end, it's not the miles we travel,

But the love that sets us apart.
