Darkness and Me
When I close my eyes
Darkness is all I see
This isn't the first time
That I found myself drowning
While struggling to be free
Or I failed to differentiate
Between agony and me
It happens very often
So I gave up on the idea
Of having the moments of glee
Now It doesn't bother me
Nor do I plead
For somehow I've found eerie peace
By letting myself bleed
Slowly, bit by bit,
When darkness comes
With a dagger to slit
every inch of me.
