Everyone took a sigh of relief as they saw the calm atmosphere in the room. Right then the juniors exited the array. They all seemed to be quiet excited today. Especially Lan JingYi for some reason.
Nie Huaisang actually raised the question, 'Young Master Lan, what has you so happy and bubbly today?'
JingYi was almost jumping on his place, and with a smug grin plastered on his face he said, 'Oh you will enjoy it for sure. Go ahead.'
And before anyone could ask for an explanation, the simulation began once again. And this time the picture was that of Cloud Recesses.
The residence of the Lan Sect was located in a remote mountain outside the city of Gusu.
Mist constantly enveloped the white walls and black roofs of the buildings, which stretched along the picturesque garden of the waterside pavilion, as if it was an ocean of clouds in the immortal realm. At dawn, the first rays of the morning sun shone through the hazy billows of mist that drifted far and wide, perfectly complementing its name-the "Cloud Recesses."
The Lans were quiet nostalgic seeing the beauty of their home. Huaisang actually voice out other's thoughts, 'Cloud Recesses is truly a work of beauty, one befitting that of the hard core romantics, the Lans are known for.'
In such a tranquil place, one's heart would be like still water. Only the echoes of the bell tower could be heard vibrating through the air.
Although it was incomparable to a holy temple, the cold mountains still send forth a lonesome air of Zen.
However, the ambience was suddenly shattered by a long wail, giving a few shudders down the backs of the disciples who were training or doing their morning readings. They couldn't help but to glance at the direction of the main entrance, where the sound came from.
And so were the Lans sitting in the room. But they knew for a fact that the troublemaker had finally marked his presence to shatter the silence and monotone of Cloud Recesses. And they didn't know whether to feel sad or angry or nothing at all. As for Lan Zhan... well he had no idea just why exactly his feeling had changed so much in the future for the troublemaker.
Huaisang couldn't help but chuckle, 'Wei-xiong, I guess your entry was just perfect.' Even MingJue couldn't stop his laugh. Though he would have scowled had he known that he had shared the same sentiments with the Chief Cultivator.
Jiang Cheng could only smack his forehead at his Da-shixiong's idiocy. The juniors, though were openly laughing.
Wei WuXian was crying in front of the entrance, clinging onto his donkey. Lan JingYi spoke, "Stop crying! You said that you liked HanGuang-Jun yourself, so what are you waiting for, now that he has taken you back?" Wei WuXian pulled a long face.
That scene was so funny that everyone bursted out laughing. Mingjue laughed out loud while saying, 'Wei-gongzi is perfect for the Lan Sect. What say Xichen?'
And while XiChen agreed at least for WangJi's sake if not anything else, Wei Ying was truly horrified. The 3000 rules would certainly be his death if not Demonic Cultivation. He shivered thinking about that. But then Lan Zhan came into his mind and all the unease just.... poofed. And that just unsettled him more.
He never had the chance to summon Wen Ning again, after the night at Dafan Mountain.
That mention itself brought an almost scowl on Wen Qing's face, but she controlled herself as she herself had called for a truce. But Lan Qiren, Madam Yu, Madam Jin and Wen Ruohan couldn't stop the frown from appearing on their foreheads. But everyone had different reasons for it. The only one greedy and idiot enough was Jin Guangshan.
