The Escape

Ade woke up to the sound of arguments and for a while she wondered where she was. Then she realized. She was in Hermes's bed.

Then the episode of the previous night came back to her mind and she blushed all over. She carefully got out of bed and picked up some clothes before sneaking into the upstairs hall. The voices were louder there, and she didn't want to eavesdrop on the brothers' argument, but when someone mentioned her name, she couldn't stop listening anymore.

Ade is our mate! You accepted her yesterday!" Eros argued.

"We cannot accept her! We have signed a contract with Nestor. Emily is our future queen." Ares roared in rage.

"But if.." Hermes started to say, but Ade couldn't hear it anymore. She had already locked herself in the bathroom and turned on the faucet before she dared to let herself cry.

"Oh honey.. you are so beautiful!" Laura said beaming. It was the night of Emily's party and Laura had come over to help Ade get ready. She had brought along a woman to do Ade's hair and make-up and then of course a dress that was almost the same shade as Ade's unique eyes.

"Well then.. we should go. Hermes is already waiting for us downstairs." Laura told. Ade hadn't spoken to the brothers since overhearing their argument. Actually, she hadn't left the bedroom at all. Eros had always brought her food from time to time, but she hadn't really touched it and when the brothers had come to sleep Ade had pretended to be sleeping. All the while she had been refining her plan and now was the night to put it into action. He should just send the evening with Aunt Laura and watch her movements.
