Vampire's Love

Chapter 4

I looked at the clock and it already said 6:20 I was already late to meet up with Jessica to talk about my dreams. And on top of all that I need to meet up with Alexander to see what he wants to talk about, this was going to be a very long night for me. After I got dressed for training, I was running down the hall to Pa's study to see what he wanted to discuss with me. After I got to the door and caught my breath, I walked in and saw Sally, Jackson, Anny, and Alexander waiting for me.

"Wow what a shock you're usually the first one here." Jackson said, looking down at me.

"Ya I was up late," I said looking at Alexander then towards Pa. "So what's up Pa? Why are we all here?" I was confused and I don't like the grin on Pa's face.

"Well Rose my dear, I would like you to spend more time with your partners, and not go against me. So Jackson, Anny here would be your shadow. And Rose..." he started before I took over his sentence.

"Let me guess he is going to be helping me with training, and the rest of my night." I said with a sarcastic tone to show how much I hate what he was doing to me.

"Correct Rose, now since that is settled. The second thing is to show them the ropes around here, teach them the rules and please Alex and Anny follow them while you are in this house. Now that I'm finished, good luck and get out." Pa said, opening the door to put us out.

After we all left I headed down the hall to the training room which is in the basement of the house. As I walked down the stairs, I looked behind me and saw that Alexander was watching me walk and trying to think of something to say.

"If you're still wondering then, I don't remember who Justin was to me. I can't fully remember much of him and I think he was my brother, or family friend. So I told you my secret know do you have any family?" I asked stopping at the door to the basement.

"Ya a younger sister and an older brother. Me and my brother never got along and always got into an argument or a fight. And my sister, well, she was always at school for some kind of project or club." He said, stopping at the door. "So that's me. So what am I going to suspect when I enter?" He had a smile but I can tell that he was a little scared.

"Don't worry they won't attack you out of the blue. We fed them this week." I wasn't sure but it seemed to calm him down.

We both entered and the newbloods stood in a perfect line that made Alexander surprised. The newbloods were almost well behaved and tried their hardest to keep their hunger in check. And if they did lose control, then an oldblood or commonblood would take them down. The thought of one of the oldbloods taking them down scared them. But that's not what we train here, we train them to control their powers, the thirst is something they have to learn to control themselves. It's even hard for me sometimes and I am barely an oldblood.

"OK today we are going to do a challenge, you can challenge me, one of your peers, or even this human here. Just remember he fought against oldbloods as well as you newbloods. So any questions?" I said looking up and down the line of the newbloods.

One of their hands came up and I pointed at the newblood. "Um, what if we want to fight a commonblood?" She was a shy little thing but she got her question out with no problem.

"Well then I would go easy on you, and if you beat me going easy on you then you can beat or come close to beat one. OK now is that all the questions?" I said before pointing at the mat where everyone would spar.

"Ya I got one. Can I spar against you as an oldblood?" Someone said from the back.

"Oh and I would like to spar against the human?" Another female's voice came from the background.

"Ya I will spar with anyone who is against that wall, powers are aloud with me." I said then walking away.

"And with me I will be right here, try not to use your powers until you feel cornered, it would be easier for both of us. Let's have fun and good luck to all of you." Alexander said with a small smile.

There was something off about Alex, his blood had a different smell than a normal human. After everyone disbanded and got in different lines from me and everyone else. We started the training and we stayed like this for a good amount of time. After about three switches and then a thirty minute rest training was over and everyone but me and Alex left. He looked exhausted and ready to sleep for a hundred years.

"You ok, you don't look too well, you look like you're going to die from that training." I said, handing him a bottle of water.

"How many times do you do this with them?" He said taking the water from my hand that I offered to him. "Especially with the little sleep you got, you miss, is one hell of a vampire." He added with a smile.

"Well Alex I only have to do this once a week so don't worry. And on top of that I've been training newbloods for years now."

After we got that out of his system we both headed to the cafeteria where Jessica and James were saving us a seat. So I walk over and give Jessica a hug and James a high-five. We always hung out before my schedule really got complicated. It usually happens around 2:05 so I have to have a snack before it does.

"So it's true Pa put you on shadow duty? I'm sorry." James said, shaking his head and laughing.

"Stop it James. So sorry, she usually goes hard on the newbloods, and pushes them even harder. Oh and Rose I see that the dream changed for the worst this time." Jessica said smacking James in the back of his head.

"Ya thanks oh and I don't think we officially met, I'm Alexander Talon a Silver Hunter of the round Knights. It's nice to meet you both." He was so polite about it. I was a little worried about what James would say.

"Hey I James Callis my powers are Ultrasound. I can hear anything and everything, even a heartbeat from about 3.6 kilometers or more." He said with a smile.

"Rose's power is cooler than yours. And I'm Jessica White my power is heart seeing. I used it on you a couple of times. I can pretty much see what you are really thinking just by looking into your heart." His face was hilarious to look at, it looked like he had been assaulted by Jessica. "Oh, and that is Rose Vaire, her power is plant manipulation. She can take any part of a rose and turn it into a weapon. And if you want to know more just ask her." Sometimes I hate her, but I also love her sadly.
