Vampire's Love

Chapter 2

"Trade you Jack." I said with a look that made him laugh.

"Sorry but no, I weather stick with the stubborn brat than a human." He said, starting to laugh.

"No offense but I'm not happy about this either, princess." Alexander said, stepping up on the platform next to Anny. I look over at Jessica, and she nodes and uses her ability and sees in his heart. And after all this is finished then she will tell me the truth about this guy.

But first I will try to get on his nerves to see what happens. I usually do that to get into people's hearts for Jessica. "First don't call me princess, I was never one and I will not start now. And two I don't like you humans never had never will, so if we are going to make this treaty work. Well then stay away until the wedding, OK?" That did get a reaction that me and Jessica wanted.

Before he could talk, Pa dismissed us all and I met up with Jessica on the way out. We both walked to the garden out back. The garden was a peaceful place that reminded most of us vampirs what it was like to be human. Even me at times, I don't remember much of my past, but the garden helps me remember some of it. The garden was indoors because we can't go outside during the day; but the garden still had the most beautiful flowers and trees ever. After me and Jessica found the perfect place to talk we sat down and began to discuss what just happened.

"So how do you feel Rose, you did not look happy at all." Jessica started the conversation.

"I wasn't and who does he think he is, going against Pa like that." I was a little mad about other things, but Pa always made a good cover up.

"You mean who do you think YOU are? What were you thinking saying stuff like that, even in front of Pa. That could have ended poorly, like really poorly. Oh and he did not like what you said. His heart was blue, like really blue."

"What do you mean, are you saying he wanted to marry me?"

"No nothing like that, I mean that it made his pride hurt, as a human, you dissed them really bad. Even when you said that you never liked humans. That gave him the impression of you being born a vampire."

"Oh well I was turned into a vampire a long time ago. I barely can remember my old family, and what I was like as a human. The smell of the flowers brings some memories back but not a lot of them. I should go and apologize." I said looking down at my hands getting ready to stand up.

"No I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that he didn't deserve to be told off that way. You could have told him to shut up and play your part in a nicer way." Jessica said, grabbing my arm.

"Really so is that what she was trying to say to me." We both jumped up to Alexander's voice. It scared the life back into us.

He was standing against the tree that was right behind Jessica, holding a rose in his left hand. He handed me the rose and on his wrist looked like a tattoo but I'm not sure. When I looked up, the light on his eyes made them look light green. To be honest he was pretty cute but I will only let Jessica know that. When I took the rose I looked back at Jessica and her jaw was open like she had looked into my heart to see what I was thinking about him.

"Just curious when you were bitten, how old were you bitten, and by whom?" He was a curious one wasn't he.

"Um let me see, not going to tell you when, I was 25, and by my ex-boyfriend. Now why are you humans making a treaty with our clan and the other clan?" I asked, hoping that Jessica could get the truth.

"Can't say what you said back there, was it really to get me to stop talking or no? Oh and if we are going to get married then you should answer all my questions honestly, just so I know what to expect with you." This time Jessica started to laugh at that question, "oh and is she OK, or do I have to worry about your friend?" After that comment she got mad and butted in.

"Hey I'm not crazy and yes that is literally the only reason why. Oh and I hope you know, human, us vampires have powers beyond your mind's content." She paused for a breath. "So if you don't mind me and my friend will be taking our leave now." She exclaimed as she grabbed my arm and stormed off with me.

I never seen her blow up on someone like that. But the guy does have a point. If I want to make this work with our clan and the humans then I would have to answer all his questions just as Pa said to. But I'm scared that if I let someone other than Pa, Sally, and Jess in, then I would get hurt. Also the more I try to make a new life the more I lose my past life. I can only remember what I think was my father who told me never let someone in unless they are never going to leave your side, but I'm even more afraid of what's going to happen if I don't listen to that voice. When I looked up at Jessica for stopping, I saw that she was crying over what my heart had said to her.

"Why the hell are you crying Jess I didn't say anything mean about you." I tried to make her feel better.

"N-no honey this isn't tears of sadness... well they are but not for me but for you. I heard your heart crying in sadness and heard all the stuff you wanted but couldn't because of what someone taught you. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to, but... but I couldn't help but cry." She said, wiping away her tears as they fell down her cheeks.

I wanted to cry with her but I couldn't because I didn't know how to cry, especially for me. I've never cried for myself, just for other people. After she was done crying and settled down a little while both of us began to walk off to the kitchen to get a bite to eat. And if you're wondering than, yes we can eat human food, just not a lot of it, and most of the meats we eat is raw or almost raw. On our way there Anny was walking towards us. So Jessica tried to walk the other way but we were caught by her.

"Hey you two over there I need to ask a question." she said, running over to us.

"Be nice." I whispered over to Jessica, her and Jessica never had a good reputation with each other. Let's say it had to do with their power differences. "Yes Anny, what can we help you with?" I asked, putting on a fake smile.

"Oh hi Jenifer, how have you been?" She asked Jessica.

"It's Jessica and you don't care, so what do you need so we don't have to be seen together. It would ruin each other's reputations." She said all with a smile. I'm shocked she kept a smile through all that. I thought she would make another face or something.

"Oh right Rize I need you to trap someone in that rose cage of yours, does your power work on humans to right." She said grabbing my hands and pleaded.

"Yes my powers work on everyone, and no I would not use it on some human. My rose powers can hurt or even kill someone. The rose cage can be as dangerous as any other rose spell I use. And my name is Rose."

Before Anny can talk Jackson walks in and stops Anny from begging anymore. "Stop it Anny, my sister will not use her power on a human or any other creature out there." Jackson sounded a little aerated at her question for me.

"And if I refuse you, what will you do Jackson?" She was testing him now. It takes a lot to make Jackson mad but she seems to piss him off really easily.

His eyes started to glow a bright red. As you remember Jackson's power is to control anything without a heartbeat, and Anny didn't have one. "On last chance Anny leave it alone!" This time he was serious.

There are two things he will be serious about: me and Pa. Since Anny is treating him with my power usage then he will use his with her.

"OK, OK don't get all your panties in a knot. I was just wondering dear. I will be taking my leave." She said walking to Jackson and then walking off down the hallway.

After Jackson calmed down and his eyes turned back to his normal dark brown eyes, he nodded to me and Jessica and walked away too. Me and Jessica just giggled and continued the conversation like before. Everyone was buzzing about the treaty and that me and Jackson were part of it. The sun came up and we all got ready for bed, including me. When I lied down I couldn't stop thinking about what Alexander said about me letting him in. Then after a couple of minutes I fell asleep.
