Where do I fit in?

((Sorry I've been away for so long. It's been hectic and there hasn't been a usable computer in my house after last year's flood. I'm currently using the church's sound booth computer while my mother is here for Vacation Bible School. I will still attempt to continue writing, but I can't make any promises that it will be within the next few weeks, but I'll try. I love you all and I thank you for supporting me and this little story!!! I honestly didn't expect to get so many readers! ^w^ And if you wanna yell at me for any mistreatment of characters, leaving at cliffhangers, or not adding in a while, my kik is sithlordlokichu))

"Base?" I asked as the helicopter landed on the roof of a tall building. I wouldn't call it a skyscraper, because to me a skyscraper is in the city.

"Just don't talk to anyone. I'll handle this." Gerard told me.

Great. Just great. I can't talk now? I mean it's not like I planned to speak to anyone. I have social anxiety, so talking to strangers terrifies me. At the same time, I hate being bossed around. I might just speak up now.

I followed Gerard through the door that lead inside, and down the series of halls to an elevator, getting in behind him. I knew I was creating awkward, aggravated tension and conflict between us in the small space, and I didn't care that he was trying to apologize. He can shove his apology up his ass. How can I trust anything he says now?

"Jess?" he was trying to communicate with me again. He even attempted to face me, to which I replied by turning away from him.

Like always, I'm a stubborn ass. "Agent Way."

"That's not my name, Jess."

" Your last name was a lie?" well he's certainly-

"No, Agent isn't my first name." I could hear the smirk in his voice, and that wasn't amusing to me. I'm trying to be stubborn, you asshole! Let me be mad! Don't try to cheer me up, dammit!!! Can't you just let me be mad at you, you stupid but adorable idiot!

"Fine. Mr.Way."

After the long silence that followed, he finally caved in. "Jess, I'm really sorry. I did want to tell you. I truly did. But I'm sworn to secrecy. I can't reveal anything about the plans or my real job to anyone. "

Well he has a LOT of explaining to do now. And judging by the fact that the elevator shook and suddenly came to a halt, we were trapped in the perfect situation for him to start explaining.

"Then if I'm not supposed to know, why hasn't anyone knocked me out, or brainwashed me?" I didn't realize that I had him pinned to the wall. He seemed to get red, and let me get closer.

"I-I.... I don't really know. I'm guessing they might threaten you into silence. I don't think they've ever encountered this situation before." He didn't push me away. He just stared at me. His eyes were an almost glowing hazel. They almost made me lose focus.

"Gerard?" a voice came from the speaker before clearing their throat. It caused me to back off of him, giving the secret agent some space.

"Agent Way, do you hear me?"

"Yes, I hear you" he said, sounding nervous.

"It appears that the elevator has been jammed between the fourteenth and thirteenth floors. We have a crew on its way to help you out. We'll have an estimate as soon as they arrive." Well that wasn't exactly the news I wanted to hear. And now I realized that I was looking around the lift, finding the microphone and speaker but no camera. This was an older elevator, and we were trapped in it for now.

"Shit." Gerard muttered.

I guess I can drop the exhausting attitude since we're gonna be here for a while. So why not. "A priest shouldn't have a potty mouth."

That got him to smile a little bit. "Neither should my dear student."

Once crews arrived, the intercom buzzed again. "Agent Way."

"What?!" The room was getting warmer, and it was making us both irritable.

"They say it's gonna be a while."

"How long is 'a while'?" Gerard didn't like the sound of that.

"About two and a half hours." FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a sound like the intercom broke down too.

"Fuck! We're trapped in a hot ass elevator with no way to communicate to the outside world?! Just fuckin great!" I began to rant and when I turned around...

There was a shirt on the floor, and Gerard was standing there with his sweaty chest revealed. Oh Lord, help me now!

(((((What do you guys think? Where should it go from here? I'd like some input)))))
