Vanessa's POV:

It's after noon, I sat by the small window of my room. I sighed, all of this is mess.

I still feel sick, but much better than morning. I don't know what cause fever, the cold or the fear. But at least I didn't had to see him that soon.

He... He is really Seth. That means he knew who was I, who was Daniel.... That why he agreed so quickly to the deal. For revenge?

I did nothing to him, I feel like a fool. It was not my problem. All of this was between a family, Why I had to struck my head in someone's family problem.

Now, I have no life, no freedom.... What I achieved?

The family I tried to save out of gratitude never existed.

My subconscious taunted on my regrets, "There was a family, Just Seth is not part of it. You protected Daniel's family.... You did right..."

I grabbed my head realizing, This is also right. From his words, it seemed like he thinks Daniel and Lewis as parasites. But truth is Maybe That family of three is perfect family, and Seth just wants to destroy them because his family didn't work out.

He is so cruel.

My subconscious said, "Mrs. Silvia left Alberto Morris..... why?...."

This time I answered myself, "Who will love a man with blood on his hands?.... No one can family with such a man... Who am I to judge?"

The door opened, Tara kept the food for me. Martha walks in, Tara immediately left closing the door.

Maybe I am about to get scolded for not being on work today.

Martha sat on the empty side of the bed asking, "How are you feeling?"

I whispered, "Fine... I guess...."

Martha just whispered, "You still look pale...."

She passed me meds saying, "Get ready for work before Master shows up....." I nod silently.

Then a question rose in my mind. I asked Martha, "Why Silvia left Alberto?.... And Why is Seth doing all this?"

Her eyes went wide. She stuttered, "H-How... you know..."

I whispered, "I don't know much, but I have right to know!!!... I destroyed my life for her family!"

Martha got up saying, "It's better for you not to mention any of this.... sometimes hiding things is better..." She was about to walk out when she turned to me and asked, "How is she?"

I was out of words, Martha asked with soft expression, "Silvia is better than here?"

I said, "She has a loving husband, a good kid like Daniel.... she is happy.... but she is missing Seth... what will happen if she realize he is a monster...."

Martha smiled saying, "Believe me girl, she has seen worst Monster than Young Master...."

She left, I only realized Martha was talking about Alberto... So, he wasn't a good husband?... I am not surprised.

Hours later,

I stood in the room as the maids were arranging the guest room.

I guess a guest is coming, but who would want to be guest to him.

My subconscious reminded, "Someone like him..."

I helped the maid fix the curtains, it's already dark. I sighed looking out, the woods looks so scary, but someone how it's safer than this place.
