Vanessa's POV:

Few days later,

It's more than 2 weeks since Mrs. Silvia's surgery. Now she is on wheelchair, so she doesn't stress herself more.

She asked to meet Seth, I just decided to say here, because I am worried. Seth ordered the maids to bring her here in his study.

I felt Seth's hand on my cheeks, he said to me, "Didn't I told you dress as you please...." I am still in the spare Uniform, I got two so, I thought he was not serious.

I looked at him straight, I said, "I am fine in it...."

I felt him freeing my hairs, His hands made them proper as he wanted. I am counting seconds, why is he doing this?

Making me feel like this.

He said stern, "Don't worry..... No one will touch you again, and....." My eyes went wide hearing this, he knows why I dress like this now!

My lips started trembling, a person cold as him will understand my pain, or.... Or How does he care to point it?

But he proved that he knew what's in my mind by saying, "It's not your fault.... they are going to try even if you look ugly or clothe head to toe...."

My eyes finally dropped the tears, his words were something unknown, but I needed to hear it.

'It was not my fault'

I wish someone else had said these words to me, but I got taunted on my looks and dress. I wish if someone told me that it's not my fault, then maybe I won't feel so warm by these words by him.

Seth pocked his hands assuring, "I will drag anyone to death, if they look at you..... No need to hide.... You are Mine...." He wiped my tears, I looked down.

I don't know if he means it or not.

But for a orphan like me, just these words that he will protect me makes me want to believe it.

Is it possible, that Seth will really protect me?

He walked back to his seat, as if he knew the knock on the door was about to happen, The maid pushed the wheel chair, Doctor said not to strain Mrs. Silvia too much.

But she is better than before, the recovery looks good.

Seth stayed there cold as Mrs. Silvia was waiting for the maid to leave. As the maid was about to leave, Seth said, "Vanessa.... close the door...."

I was here being audience to Mother Son bitterness. Mrs. Silvia said, "Seth.... I want to go back....."

Seth's hand went to the papers as if he is busy, he said, "I do not plan to keep you forever..... unless you leave those people....."

He whispered, "I can't even look at your face...."

Mrs. Silvia just looking at him, I am sure she was in distress. Seth got up said, "I am busy....."

Mrs. Silvia said, "Seth..... Are you going to behave like this? Like I am your enemy?...."

Seth's eyes went to his mother, he is surprisingly composed. Mrs. Silvia said, "I ... I might not live for long... Seth will you forgive me for whatever this mother did to you?"

This is heart breaking, Seth got close to her, surprisingly he sat on his knees to her level. He asked stern, "Do you regret it?"

I swear I was praying that everything fixes after this.
