Chapter-22

Vanessa's POV:

Next day,

I was sitting by the fountain reading the book I borrowed. I am in some casual jeans and a crop top. I washed my staff uniform and enjoying wearing some normal but new clothes, letting my hair free after all these days trying to be perfect.

That day I got my parcel at the club, And today I got a chance to wear them. I want to feel as normal as possible when I am on this unofficial leave.

I looked at the fountain again, yea.... May be fountains are really pretty my eyes went back to the book.

Author's POV:

As the fancy car stopped Seth got out of it, he stretched his shoulders a little. He arrived back early, he initially thought it was going to take longer but he managed the disturbances easily.

Another car stopped behind him, Robert got down holding his coat in his hand, he appeared exhausted.

Seth lighted his cigar saying, "I hope it never happens again...." Like he warned Robert.

Robert stood in front of Seth as he said, "You should put trust in me.... You know me for years."

Seth smirked, leans on the car, smoking. He whispered, "Trust is first step for betrayal.... We do business...." Seth's eyes stopped seeing someone far away in the garden.

He clearly saw Vanessa sitting by the fountain. He felt like time freeze for him, the way her hair moved with the wind and her relaxed expression made him speechless.

She looked the same way she was in school. Like she wasn't trying to be unnoticed, When he saw her after years he couldn't believe the state of once a popular girl. Seth clearly remembered her as someone who shinned all around, but now after having her under his control for the first time she was in her usual form.

All dressed up, and shinning as before.

His lips curved unknowingly.

On the other hand Robert said, "Don't worry after today no one will go against our rule...." Robert noticed Seth was not looking at him, he just looks lost.

Seth blew smoke away looking at distance, this tempted Robert to search for that amusement, the amusement that was melting a stone heart.

Robert was stunned, his mouth went dry. He felt his heart catch speed as he saw her in that state.

In fact, these both men felt like they were under a spell. Seeing her leaning on the fountain, smiling at it, fixing her hair occasionally, while her pe-rfect outfit defined her cures and proved her figure. And her hair where like dancing with the wind.

Seth stood straight realizing his actions, he rushed in refusing his situation. While Robert smiled looking at her. He decided to approach.

Both of these men where fond of this beauty while one was stern to ignore, and other was willing to be sacrificed.

Soon Seth found himself in his room, as his mind reminded himself of that angelic view he got. Was it his delusion or his lonely life getting better of him?

He whispered, "No way..."

He pulled opens the curtain looking at Vanessa at distance having her time reading a book, but really he got much better view from his room rather than the driveway.

He whispered her name, as if it was too much to stay silent.

She appeared so relaxed and happy, that her smile entangled him in her.
