Vanessa's POV:

I said to Terry offended, "You mean I cannot leave this office.... I work here Terry, you cannot tell me to get locked in this room...."

Flaw of being with Seth is his overprotective nature, he went somewhere urgently so now Terry is boss of everyone. He doesn't like me, I am sure of it.

Terry said walking out, "Madam.... Master ordered, to keep you alive and untouched till he returns... or I have no interest in overworking here..."

I saw Greg as the door opened and Mr. Max was there too, Greg was holding a box as they ignored me and kept the stuff on the table.

Greg said, "Is it all?.... or should we get something else?"

Mr. Max said as this old man had a glance at me, "Not really..... Master Morris ordered some things for the office..."

I know, he hates anyone handling his things. It's rare to see him letting Greg or Max having a glance at it.

My eyes went to box, I heard Greg, "It's a gun.... don't run your stupid brain....." I glared at him.

I heard a warning from Mr. Max, "Shut up!... it's no way to talk to your Madam...." Greg rolled his eyes, I tried to carry the same attitude for him.

Terry said, "So... nice since Greg is here.... Keep an eye on her, I need to finish some work real quick..." I feel like getting tossed as a responsibility even when I didn't wanted to be part of this.

I just want to be near Seth, not these idiots!

Terry was long gone, Greg said as he pocketed his hands, "So... let's not bother each other... Vanessa... I mean Madam..." He walked out, but I was somewhat alert as Old Man Max was still talking himself out of the cabin.

He has this serious look on his face, and he does scare me, and everyone who works for Seth.

Mr. Max turned to me as he said, "Follow Master's order and rest here till he returns..."

I looked away slightly nodding, The old Man's words threatened me, "And.... yes.... Whatever happened in between you two.. and what you are to him... I don't care.... But one thing is clear, this time I will stand in between if the history try to repeat....."

He threatens me, My blood ran cold. But still felt the sweating.

Mr. Max's threat really made me feel powerless. He looked away as he said, "Besides... you look like a kind lady..." He murmured to himself.

I couldn't help but speak, "We will not end like them... Seth is not like him... Seth is different.... You are in no place to threaten me, when you don't know how I feel for Seth...."

The old man didn't turned to me, instead he looked no were. I said, "What you sow is what you get...... His father sowed pain he got pain.... but Seth is nothing like him...."

Mr. Max taunted, "Then you are lucky, he is decent compared to his father....."

Suddenly Mr. Max looked at my face he warned again, "Pray.... I don't find you threat to Master Seth, if I do then he can't do much with your dead body.... I will deal with his wart too..."

I looked down as I felt rejected. This old man really doesn't trust me one bit!

Few weeks later,

I walked behind Seth as we were at work, the mall looks like it's doing great. I was really happy how it turned out. His words and promises about this place seems true.

He looks quite prod too.

Seth walked few steps leaning on the railing. He looked at this phone doing something. Seth said to Terry who just made few steps to us.

Seth told him about some work stuff, I have some observations, he doesn't talk about the violence in front of me anymore. I am quite thankful about that.

Terry said, "Master, I will do it right now.... anything else..." Seth pulled a cigar out as he said, "Call them and make clear about the offer.. it's their only chance..."

Terry stepped aside, I whispered, "Can't you do business nicely... why a threat?"

Seth said smirking at me, "They are no good people, Vanessa... little pressure will do wonders...."

He smiled more, He is so evil, but right too, these people aren't sane either.

He said, "Come here...."

I looked at him, I said, "We are at work, Master Morris....."

Seth said cutting my works off, "Come closer and kiss me women...."

I swear my heart skipped beats, My face must be red, I feel then getting hot.

But my eyes furrowed when I noticed a red dot on Seth's shoulder. Seth followed my eyes on seeing my confused face, he pulled me to the floor as he said, "Vanessa... get down..."

I heard the panic, I realized we just dodged a bullet. Seth was protecting me using his body. I heard multiple gun sounds and the guards covering Seth and me.

I noticed Terry gave Seth hand he said, "Get up... and take her out of here!!!!"
