Chapter 2: Eternity

(Kunikuzushi pov)

My Creator. The Raiden Shogun abandoned me. Leaving me desolate in her cursed land. Humans whom I befriended. Only to betray me. I was so done with humans so I cut off connection with humans.

I really don't want to see anymore humans. They will only betray me. And I don't want to see her even if Teyvat came to an end.

I often find myself unconsciously walking around inazuma contemplating life.

The nation brings too much sound that my thoughts keeps on being shaken by it.

Then. There was a sound. Unfamiliar. Unlike the roaring thunder that plagues inazuma. This sounds like..... What's that word....? Sploshing..? Squeaking..? Ahh.. Whatever...

But I hurriedly ran towards the direction of the sound. Not caring if it was a trap or not. He reached a little hood that was covered by plants and moss. He figured that whatever was hiding here was an animal scared of thunder. He reached out his hand towards the animal inside it.

He felt something slimy....

He took a peek inside the hood and.... Lo and behold there was a orange slime.

He took his hand away and the blob slithered towards him. He looked at his hand to see if it's burnt since 999 is orange so first impressions is that he's a pyro slime. But to his surprise. There was absolutely no scar or burnt area.

He looked back and saw that the "slime" was holding his feet.

"Hey! What are you!?" Asked the rather taken aback Kunikuzushi.

But 999 ignored his questions and continued climbing up the boy's leg. 999 felt the boy's sadness and anger towards something or someone. So he decided to help this ticking timebomb of a boy.

Kunikuzushi tried getting the blob of slime out of his leg when he felt more and more relaxed and comfortable. So his attempts to remove the slime weakened until he decided not to.

Then 999 did his famous tickle fight.....

(INSERT INCOHERENT LAUGHING AND SCREAMING HERE)

Anxiety and trauma were wiped away as soon as 999 touched him. That horrible sensation. It was gone in an instant. Only happiness was left.

Expressions never before seen in Kunikuzushi's face appeared. Including but not limited to. An expression of pure and genuine joy. He was producing a laughter that he hasn't done in his puppet days.

To put it simply. He was happy.

Within seconds. Without knowing the other's identity. They immediately formed a connection.

A connection that will last for all Eternity
