The last time Porsche was here the place mimicked an ice castle, but today the whole place was so colourful. Balloons and festoons of vibrant colours, exotic flowers and orchids, warm lights, everyone was laughing and talking, it looked more like a festival and less like a party. A scrumptious spread of an array of delicious western and oriental delicacies in the centre table, cocktails and mocktails of every size shape and colour were being served by the waiters and music – live band was playing a mix and match of old country music, modern romance, classics as well as K-pop.
There was a huge display at the head of the hall where videos of Porsche's childhood were playing on repeat, his first walk, his first blabber, him playing with his father, his first day in school, three-year-old Porsche cooking with his mom, decorating a cake on Mother's Day with his dad, snippets from his wedding. On the side walls of the hall a collage of Porsche's photos from his childhood to present played on roll. Porsche stood stunned and overwhelmed at the entrance looking around, he couldn't believe it was all for him. Even Kinn was surprised, 'Its not fair, their gift to you is far better than mine.'
Yes, the whole family came together to celebrate Porsche's birthday, the only thing Kinn new was that there is going to be a party and he was asked to invite Porsche's friends.
Well, trust Mrs Rose and Mrs Leah to come up with this.
Porsche was dumbfounded, he couldn't move. He couldn't speak.
'HAPPIEEEE BIRTHDAY PORSCHEEEE'
Porsche was startled, as he was dragged into a group hug. It was his friends, Tem, Jom, P'Yok, his friends from the diner – Lin, Ray, Han, a couple of his old school friends Tor and Navi who still keep in touch with him.
'You guys are here?' Porsche asked.
'Yes'
'You guys are really here?'
'Yesss'
'I am not imagining.'
'No'
They all started jumping and hugging each other. Porsche broke away and asked confused, 'But how are you here?'
