'It's a rat.' Kim repeated impatiently, as if everyone was being purposefully dumb.
'Eeeeeeeeeeeiiiiwwwwwwwwww' Tankhun shrieked and jumped up on the sofa, 'Aiii Kinn don't you clean your office there is a rat running around causing havoc.'
'There is no rat in my office Hia. Kim, what the fuck are you even saying.'
'Uffho, it's not that rat. There is a RAT in your system. A random access trojan is embedded in your system.'
'Kim please speak in a language we mortals understand.' Kinn replied impatiently.
'A RAT is a malware that is a virus a hacker uses to gain full administrative privileges and remote control of a target computer, in our case that is Hia Kinn's PC which is the heart of the whole building and has the capacity to log in to any of our satellite databases as an administrator.' Kim explained. 'Once this host system is compromised, intruders have used a backdoor to control the host, or any other systems linked to it. This RAT is a particularly powerful one it has been sending other RATs to our linked computers establishing a botnet. Since the RAT is running on this compromised system, the attacker can send commands to it and receive data back in response and remotely control any infected computer in the system. That's how Hia Khun's system got hacked.'
'But then why didn't our cyber security detect it when it was first attacking my system.' Asked Kinn
'There could only be one explanation for this. The RAT was physically uploaded in your system. Since the initial hack started from inside so alarms didn't go off.'
'You mean to say someone came into my room and actually uploaded the malware.'
'Yeah.'
'The people who has access to my room in my absence are above and beyond doubt.'
'Well then did you bring anyone suspicious in this room before. It seems the RAT was embedded about two months ago. It has been sitting silently collecting data till now. So, about that time did anyone suspicious come to your office. I can check the CCTV footage if you want.' Hearing Kim, Kinn's facial expression changed, he clenched his jaws.
'You don't have to I know who it is.' Kinn gritted through his teeth.
'Who?'
'Tawan.'
Kinn was boiling with anger. He took the crystal figurine in his table and smashed it into the wall. Everyone flinched back terrified, no one dares to face an angry Kinn except may be Vegas but he is not here. To every one's surprise the person who walked up to Kinn was Porsche. He gently took Kinn's hand into his. Kinn had already regretted losing his temper in front of Porsche because last thing he wants to do is scare Porsche. So, he was surprised when Porsche took his hand, unknown to him the crystal glass cut his skin, he was bleeding. Porsche took out his handkerchief and pressed over the injury. He walked Kinn to the sofa sat him down and looked around for the first aid kit. Arm handed him the box. He silently bandaged Kinn's hand and was about to stand up when Kinn grabbed his hand looking at him with pleading eyes, as if begging him to stay. Porsche nodded, a faint reassuring smile appeared on his lips and he sat back.
