Its my first day of school and i'm a bit nervous but excited. I decided i would be wearing a black crop top that says Be nice on it, some ripped jeans, a flannel tied around my waist white shoes and a purse.

I decided not to wear the purse. I grabbed my backpack and walked out the door.
I saw Larry and Sal in the lobby by Anderson's apartment. "Hey guys." I said, Larry greeted me with a smile. Its only been a day since i met Larry. "Whats up Y/N" Sal said. I smiled, "so wheres the school Sal? You said you'd bring me." he snickered, "follow me."
TIME SKIP~
I was on my way to lunch when i bumped into a boy, "hey watch it!" he said. "oh my gosh, i'm so sorry, I should have watched where I was going. Are you okay?" he tsked. "i'm fine idiot. Anyways your new right?" He said with an attitude. I rolled my eyes, "whats with the attitude, i said i was sorry." He grumbled. He seems to be a bully, I decided i would go with my tactic that i use with every bully. Befriend them so I don't get picked on. I smiled "i'm Y/N, I just moved here." I noticed his necklace. "Hey, I have a similar necklace, I have a cross necklace as well." I pulled my necklace out from behind my shirt. he looked at it and there was a smile on his face. "your religious?" I nodded. "I went to church in my last town. I was wandering where I could be able to go to church" He chuckled at me "after school I could show you to the church. He smiled at me, I was amazed, "You have a very pretty smile. uhh, I'm sorry i never got your name." I said rubbing my neck. "My name is Travis, stick by me and nothing will happen to you." I nodded and we went to the lunch room. "hey find a seat i'm gonna get some lunch" Travis said walking off, I smiled and nodded.
Larry and Sal walked up to me. "I'm sorry am i seeing shit or did you just smile at Travis." Larry asked. I laughed. "yeah you did."
"why? that kid is a huge fucking jerk! He is homophobic and he picks on Sal. " I was really confused. "Homophobic? I doubt it, He gives off a crap ton of Gay vibes." I looked at Travis and I smiled at him, He smiled back. The line was extremely long. "How did you get him to be so nice to you?" Sal asked
"We are all children of god and we should all be loved by each other."

I looked at Travis and he nodded. "wow your religious too?" Larry said. "Not fully, but I could tell Travis was a bully and I have a tactic to make sure 'im not a target to the bullying." Larry looked intrigued. "If you befriend the bully you have a lower present chance of getting bullied by that person. Also the bully will most likely respect your wishes and there is also a higher chance for that bully to change."
"Whoa, that's deep." Sal said his eyes squinting. I could only guess that he was smiling by the looks of the type of squint. Travis started walking over. "Y/N don't bother your time with these freaks, They are a bunch of Faggots." I wink at Sal and Larry mouthing Sorry i need to play along for a bit. They nodded in understanding. I smile at Travis, "Alright, where do you want to sit?" He grabbed my hand at brought me to a table. "Hey um Travis?"
"yeah Y/N?" He responded looking up at me.
"I don't think god would approve of calling people Faggots. I understand that you believe its a sin to be Gay, and I do too." No i really don't. "But god also said love thigh neighbor. Which I believe means to not call people names in front of them." He put his sandwich down. "I never thought of it that way." Travis said. "Hey I also have a question, I cant remember off the top of my head, I went through so much in the past month that my memory is hazy.."
"Alright, what is it Y/N?" I sighed. "Where in the bible does it say being gay is a sin, I mean not where but like what does it say." He smiled at me. " Man shall not love boy How Man Love women" (I dont know if this is the exact saying.) I let out a sigh.
"um Travis why would it say Man shall not love Boy? wouldn't it say 'man shall not love man' instead of 'man shall not love boy'?"
"how would I know this is what god said." He started to get shaky. "Can I tell you a secret Travis? and if so Promise you wont get mad." He shrugged. "as long as you don't say that your gay, I wont get mad, Your secret is safe with me." I smiled at him
"I honestly think that verse doesn't mean that being Gay is wrong. Even though we think it is." I really dont- "I believe its talking about pedophilia. if it was saying gay is a sin it would say 'Man shall not love Man' representing men shouldn't love the same gender. but it doesn't it says Man shall not love boy." Travis couldn't stop staring at me. I sigh, i start to force myself to tear up. Thank god Im really good at acting. " I-I know i shouldn't think against what god said a-and what the church believes, but I feel like it t-truly means that Men should not love children in a sexual w-way. " Tears started falling down my face, God im glad I can force myself to cry otherwise this act wouldn't go through.
Travis gets up and moves around the table, and gives me a hug, rubbing my back to try and help calm me down. "Hey, hey don't cry. Its okay, We all question Gods words at one point or another." He pulls back and whips the tears falling from my eyes.
"How about this, This Sunday is testimonial day, How about you come by the church and say something. Im sure Father Phelps could help in lighten you and maybe you could open something up for the church and so forth." I smile as another tear falls. I notice Larry and Sal looking at me. I nodded to them to show that i'm fine.
"You know, I have my own secret. But im not ready to quite share about it. Though I will let you know a different secret." Bingo, Im finally getting somewhere. " I dont really want to pick on Sal and his friends, but if my father ever found out I was being nice to a bunch of gays, He would kill me." I sigh and hugged him. "I understand that, My uncle was the same to my cousin. But please dont force me to be mean to others."
"I may be a jerk, but im not that heartless." He laughs. The bell rings. "Alright I'll see you around?" Travis said. "Of course." I grab my bag and walk out of the lunch room.
~TIME SKIP~
Its the end of the day and im waiting for Larry and Sal so we can start walking home. Travis already left so I dont have to worry about him seeing me. "Hey Y/N sorry to keep you waiting, Larry lost his bag."
"That's fine, Shall we get going?"
"Of course." We start walking back to the apartments. "So what was that all about at lunch?" Larry asked. "It was called good acting."
"So while acting you hugged Travis?" I start to fidget with my hands. "No i wasn't acting when I hugged him, I was acting when he hugged me the first time though. He just really needed a hug. Honestly he's supper sweet." Larry laughed sarcastically. "Travis, Sweet? That's the funniest thing I heard all day." I rolled my eyes. I cant wait for Sunday, I am making great progress. Pretty soon he'll no longer be a bully
