Hang in there, guys, Imma give this fandom context.
Ranks have their perks.
Ikor won't speak on behalf of others- his father was literally the mayor. But he knew everything has pros and cons, the more pros on cons, the better.
As for him, a notable con was the crushing amount of responsibilities he usually deals with. On the pro side, he had practically unlimited access to all matters around the city, heck around at least half the province. Geography, crime, finance, curriculum files etc. You name it, it just needs a bit of digging because even half of Alberta is a lot of area.
Luckily, he knows how to get the right shovel for that.
That one-time adventure had got him in a whole load of trouble. His arm didn't need a lot to heal, so he it was 1 day before he went to school. Even though he is a sportsman, he could only take so much adrenaline at once. He is still getting to the bottom of this, but he's content to do that by pulling the strings from behind, thank you.
Being in a group was actually the mini-highlight of that day. Sure, he often hangs out with his cousin or with someone from the hockey team, but he gotta say, those people were as cold as the ice they skate on. Maybe that's why he fits with them.
Riff, Trek, Eron and Ao-ki felt... more casual. It's weird to say that when he met them for 36 hours and didn't see them ever since that run, but they felt much more easy going, very unlike most stuff he grew up with.
Back on topic, he was know in one of the archives, moving folders between his fingers. Trek has spoken to him 2 days ago, with witness that he know their attackers name and a bit of backstory.
Barur Sanchez. Obviously Mexican.
Thing is, Mexican outlaws know their way inside better than Ikor might ever know his palm. Especially those who work with organizations. He could be under any fake identity the government passed off without batting an eye. And there were a lot of those. They come in as secretly as the weapons.
He would've looked up the archives on a computer if he wasn't in need of a picture. He remembered little to even less about the man's appearance, but the witness Trek got- Siran was her name- had gave him a drawing of the man from memory, telling him a shortened story story about when she encountered him.
Eventually, he ended up with only 3 possible folders, all laid out in front of him on his desk. A single piece of information could help him pull that guy apart from-
He suddenly heard his phone buzz.
Taking it out, Ikor saw it was a reminder. He had still agreed that day to meet up with the rest and already planned to tell them what he got. Except he had hit a road block. One could only dig so far.
He looked at the files one last time. From the crimes he knows so far, they were very close, theft, arson, trafficking, abduction, and the list goes on. All 3 looked pretty similar and Siran's drawing didn't match any completely.
That's when he felt the gear practically turn in their place inside his head.
He sent a quick text message, grabbed the files into his bag and set off. He should've done this since he got the folders half an hour ago instead of staring at them like a dummy the whole time. There was already a simple key to unlock the identity of the man.
After all, he had a witness.
