Total Sole Survivor Ep 8 Part 3: "If We're Gonna Lie Might As Well Make it Good For Yours Truly."

**Commercial Breakover**

Howie and Stefan had escaped the collapsing building, which they ended up walking for a while to get away from the zombies. They ultimately ended up finding themselves in a forest area when they had stopped walking.

"Honestly, it should be safer here. We can hide in the trees or bushes if needed," Howie stated as he nodded in acceptance of his environment.

"I hope so, but then again it isn't convenient for my weapon," Stefan frowned as he held out his flamethrower. "Fire and nature don't mix, bruh."

"Yea.." Howie tutted as he considered what to do about that. He then pulled out his own impractical weapon, a book, "I don't have anything better."

There was then the moan of a zombie, indicating that the monsters were on their way to that area.

"For slow creatures, they found us pretty fast," Stefan noted as he got his flame thrower ready.

Howie on the other hand just opened the book. "This thing has to be good for something..I couldn't just be- woah!"

"What?" Stefan now peeked over to see what Howie had found.

The book page was now illuminating light which shone brightly on Howie's face.

"It's a spell book," Howie notified Stefan as he held it out for him to see.

Stefan raised an eyebrow as if to say 'interesting'.

"Bruh, why did the items menu just say book then. Spell book and just book are two different things," Stefan muttered though he did smile as he looked at the spells on the page. "Rad bro. This gives us a good chance at fighting off those zombies."

Just as he said that, it seemed the zombies had discovered their location

"Okay, let's see..." Howie mumbled before he began to whisper some weird incantation. Stefan just stood back to watch.

Once Howie finished the chant, he pointed his hands at the zombies and the forest seemed to spring to life.

Roots tore zombies apart, plants held zombies in place, grass dragged zombies underground. Everything in the forest seemed to be fighting against the undead.

Soon the forest was clear and it was as if nothing had come in the first place.

"Impressive," Stefan complimented as soon as the spell had finished.

"Thank you," Howie grinned as he then flipped to the next page of the book. "Let's see what else this thing can do.."

"Water spell..lightning spell..love spell- why is there a love spell?" Howie wrinkled his nose as if it was a crude picture.

"I mean a zombie that loves me isn't killing me any time soon, bro," Stefan answered back shrugging.

Howie nodded as if to say 'fair.'

He continued to turn pages, until finally stopping on a certain page.

"The Dead Undead Spell," Howie read off the title of the spell. From the way the light seemed to get brighter, it seemed the power of the spell also increased. "Okay, this one seems interesting."
