**Commercial Break Over**

Carter actually helped carry Esme to the medic area this time, now that he knew where it was.

"She needs new bandages," Carter explained to the nearby nurses.

The nurses nodded, and got to work.

"Carter, can you believe it?" Esme talked while the medics worked. "I won! I'm going to the final 4! This is so exciting!"

"I know, I know!" Carter held her hand. "I'm so happy for you."

"Right," Esme's grin widened, trying to use her happiness to ignore the pain of the doctors and nurses working on her leg. "You'll come with me right?"

"Obviously, a doh," Carter nodded. "No one is voting for me...I hope? Speaking of which, who are we voting for?"

"Howie," Esme said immediately.

To that Carter began to laugh.

"Howie- vote Howie- good one-" Carter wheezed, but the room went quiet and everyone stared at him as he was the only person laughing.

"Carter," Esme's voice was serious. "I mean it. Howie. Howie needs to go home."

"Howie?" Carter's eyes lit up. "But why? Howie is my friend?"

"Your friend, but my target," Esme declared. "Howie wanted me out. We need to get him before he gets me."

"But- I-i don't understand?" Carter scratched his head. "Why would Howie want you out?"

"Carter, do you trust me?" Esme then questioned.

"Uh..yes?" Carter confirmed, but there was hesitation in his tone.

"Then you will vote for Howie," Esme demanded.

🎸Esme- "I don't care if Howie is your best friend or your ally?! He could be your childhood bestie! I'm your girlfriend! If you trust me, then you will vote with me! Howie will go home, and that is final!"

**Static**

😜Carter- "What the heck is going on? Why is all this strategy talk so...confusing? Was Howie really targeting Esme all along...he couldn't have? Could he?"

"But I still am confused?" Carter admitted. "Why not vote for Balaam. He finally isn't immune?"

"Cause Balaam isn't a threat," Serenna's voice suddenly came up as she walked into the room. "Look, Carter, everything Esme said...is true."

"WHAT?!" Carter exclaimed. "But Howie-"

"-Needs to go home," Serenna finished. She put her hand on Carter's shoulder. "Look I get it, he was your first friend. But Carter, Howie can win this game. I watched his introduction. He knows psychology. He is a valedictorian. Winning things, analyzing people and their minds, that's what Howie is good at. He is used to being first place. What makes you think he will stop now?"
