I have no idea how I managed to lie to Charles. For all he knows I am only arriving tomorrow. But I park my car in the underground's parking lot and quickly walk inside the building.

Since Max already sent me his hotel room number, I immediately made my way up to his floor, sunglasses on my nose, a brandless cap on my head, and my hair tied into a knot. All I could do now was hope the hallway was empty.

I knocked on the door, and after a few seconds, Max opened the door, and his smile grew when he saw me, quickly pulling me inside his room.

"Has anyone see you?" He asked, cupping my cheek and letting his thumb run over my lips.

"I don't think so," I replied, tiptoeing to give him a kiss. "I even avoided Charles."

Max chuckled and leaned down to give me the kiss I had been longing for, "You've got no idea how happy I am to see you," he said. "I am so sad that I won't be able to see you as much this weekend."

"Oh, you will see me," I said as I let go of him. "Wearing Charles' merch– in the Ferrari garage," I continued my teasings. "Rooting for my brother."

"Shut your mouth," He warned me, only widening my smirk.

"I mean, red does suit me very well."

Max rolled his eyes playfully as he followed me to the couch, his arm draped over my shoulders, "You know, I could easily convert you into being a fan of my team. The energy at the Red Bull garage is unbeatable."

I tilted my head, looking up at him as if I was actually considering it before smirking, "Oh, I'm sure it's thrilling over there, but I've already committed to Ferrari... Maybe you can convince me otherwise," I said, batting my eyelashes playfully as I leaned more into his embrace.

Max matched my smirk, leaning in closer, "I don't need to convince you with words," he whispered, his lips inches apart from mine.

I put my finger on his lips and shook my head, "No! You can not convert me with kisses. I'll make sure to cheer for you too. Just not as loudly as I will for Charles."

Max raised an eyebrow, his jaw slightly lacking as he pretended to be offended, "Oh, I see how it is. My own girlfriend cheering louder for my competition."

I snorted as I nudged him, "Girlfriend?"

I was not about to give in on him calling me his girlfriend without him having asked me properly to be his girlfriend. And besides all that, maybe it was still too soon to give this a label.
