you leave a kiss mark on (late sias)alex's cheek before he goes on stage.
-is this what you wanted - leonard cohen-
-used to be my girl - the last shadow puppets-
the monkeys' tour in australia was underway. shows were always a blast, even from the wings with the girls, but the australian crowds were always the best. the boys had a show in adelaide tonight and miles was set to come on stage during 505.
the radio was playing full volume in alexs dressing room as i got ready for the show in about an half hour.
i heard the shower turn off and the bathroom door opened. my eyes averted to the reflection of the vanity mirror to see alex walk out with a freshly gelled quiff in his hair. he was shirtless and wearing his black jeans. my mind wandered off into some fantasy world filled with alex turner's beautiful face.
"alright?" he said, folding his previously worn clothes and piling them up on top of the dresser.
i hummed as a 'yes', finishing applying mascara to my eyelashes. he bent over his phone for a few seconds, struggling to play some music from it but finally having some success. the introduction of 'is this what you wanted' by leonard cohen began.
once again, my eyes turned to the mirrors image to see alex rifling through his racks of shirts, vests and t shirts.
i watched his back muscles tense as he picked up shirts and held them up in front of him. my teeth chewing on my bottom lip whilst i fiddled with the tube of mascara between my fingers.
finally, i tore my eyes away from the mirrors handsome image and began placing my mascara, lipstick and eyeliner pencil back into my bag.
my soul left my body as two large hands suddenly rested on my shoulders. a small scream consciously came out of my mouth from absolute terror. "fucking hell.", i looked up to see alex stood behind me. his eyes locked with mine through the mirror.
"i am not that terrifying am i love?" alex said with a cheeky smirk on his face. he now had on a navy vest with the australian flag on it. as soon as we landed, al was desperate to buy one of them shirts you get at souvenir shops for tourists.
"you're horrifying." i joked with a large smile. alexs fingers toyed with the straps of my dress as he sung along to the chorus of the song.
he continued with more passion, wrapping his arms round my shoulders and leaning down closer to me. i placed my hands on his arms, under my neck, as i sang along with him.
his passion increased even more and he rocked me side to side, singing into my ear. once the outro began, his soft lips pressed small kisses kisses on my neck around my ear.
i brought my hand round to the nape of his neck and played with the short hairs on the back of his neck. his lips moved from my neck to my jaw, edging towards my lips. my body twisted to face him as much as i could without snapping my body in half.
as his lips interlocked with mine, a knock sounded on the dressing room door before it opened. "were on in two mi-. come onnn. every single time." a familiar voice said.
we pulled away to see jamie stood at the door. "cockblocker." alex said, standing up straight. jamie always had horrible timing. he walked back down the corridor towards the stage and we shortly followed.
i found the girls and we started sat down and chatted until we heard the monkeys' stage intro. pushing myself out my seat, i ran over to the boys. i wished them good luck, as if they needed it anyway.
they all started walking on stage after giving their girlfriends kisses. i quickly took alex's arm and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek, leaving a red mark of my lipstick behind.
"sorry handsome." i lifted my thumb up to wipe it off but he grabbed my hand gently. "no no, love. leave it there." he said kissing my cheek like i had just done to him. i smiled and let him walk on stage.
