Childhood friends
As a six year old girl I run around the woods, and the village of the Kingdom, watching people live their daily lives.
I've always wished to be one of them instead of a princess.  You have to be disciplined, lady like, dress up in the most uncomfortable clothes, you have no time for fun.
I was running around shooting arrows into bulls eyes, which I had drawn on trees.  I loved the bow my dad had gotten me for my birthday fourth birthday.  My first bow.
When I returned to the village I heard something, someone.
A voice from behind a house.
"Who's there?" I asked.
A girl, five years older than I was had been digging for food in the rubbish bin.
    "Wh-what's wrong?  What's your name?" I asked.
    "Theodora," the girl said shyly.
"Are you hungry?" I asked. The girl nodded.
"I can get you some bread from my house."
I ran back to the palace, grabbed some bread, chocolate, fruit a little bit of everything and threw them into a basket.
Everyday I would bring some of the clothing I didn't like, food and water for the girl. One day she asked me if I wanted to see a magic trick.  She showed me her ability to summon flames.  They flew around her hand like little willow the wisps.
"that is so cool!" I exclaimed.

When we were fourteen  Theodora told me she met a witch, she had told her about her past.
Everyday Theodora would tell me about a sister who had the life she never had, she told me how much she wanted to torture her sister.
I didn't agree with her. I didn't like where this was going.
As the months went by Theodora grew vain, mean and dull. Like all the innocence was sucked right out of her.
One day Theodora 'accidentally' set a villager on fire. She burned to death.  I called her a monster.
"Stay away from me! We are not friends anymore!" I yelled at her.
She cried and turned into a fiery mess. The whole kingdom was set on fire. She ran into a burning house and stayed inside.
"Theodora! Come out! You might be burned!" I screamed after her.
"I don't care!" She told me.
The kingdom put out the flames, and Theodora was no where to be found.  We thought she died in the flames.
Five years later I accidentally turned mom into a bear. I always blamed it on witches. It's like the problems never end.
