The mysterious prince brought me outside. We sat outside in the moonlight.
No man has ever had the effect this man had on me. He drove me crazy.  Not only because he was handsome (in a feminine way), there was something about him, he radiated an aura of curiosity and adventure. I felt like I  had met him before.
He sat with me in the moonlight looking around suspiciously.
"What is your name?" I asked him. "Do I know you? You look familiar ... for some reason."
He had dark brown hair, freckles, and eyes the colour of the ocean.
"My name is... Prince Martin of ... Ireland! But none of that matters".
The way he spoke, his accent was pure Scottish, like Merida's? We talked and talked and talked. It felt like it had gone on for hours. He told me about a strict mother who had been fun and free spirited for a year or two; then, after a while she reverted back to her old controlling self. Annoying younger siblings. An irresponsible, yet fun and loving father. A kingdom that expected so much from him. Lack of freedom, and an adventurous life that he dreamed of due to his duties.
I couldn't relate to all of it.  But some parts about his life reminded me so much of myself.
The kingdom expected so much from me. They didn't understand my powers. They called me a witch. So I... ran away and made a snow castle and even a snow monster.  If it weren't for Anna...
But, the past is in the past. Let it go. Let it go.
I told the Irish prince a bit about myself.  Which turned into almost my whole life story.  "Elsa!" I heard.  Oh. What is it Anna.
"I got to go." I turned.
"Wait!" Martin grabbed me by the arm.   I turned around in a heartbeat.  He looked at me with this smile that made the corners of his eyes crease.
"You know, you're very attractive," he said gruffly.
              Shockingly I blushed and giggled.
"I would say the same about you."
The next thing I knew he had leaned in closer for a hug, then his face fell against mine.  It took me by surprise as his mouth touched mine.
I kissed him back the same way. It grew hungrier and hungrier. I felt the want for more. Next thing I knew my hands were buried in his hair.  His hair. It didn't feel human. It felt ... artificial. Like straw.    His breath tasted of liquor.
On the contrary, I had never kissed anyone before. Not in any way like this.
Before I could pull away Anna appeared from my peripheral view.
"Elsa ... you naughty naughty girl?!" she said giggling.
I had never been so embarrassed in my life.
"It's alright Elsa I'll leave you two alone." She ran off.
I looked back at Martin saw that his hair was falling off.  It was... a wig?
I realised instantly that this was no prince, after those long curly locks began falling down her shoulders.
       "Merida."
She smiled like a little kid that had just done something wrong.  Confirming my answer. "Is this alcohol I taste.  Oh no...  You, young lady, are drunk. We need to go before anyone sees us."
Before Merida and I could leave, almost the whole ball was watching us.  Her whole wig had fallen off. Sitting upright on the stone path.
"The Queen has been snogging another woman!" yelled a familiar voice. I turned around and knew instantly that it was her.  Theodora. Only with someone else's face and hair. She was under a disguise.
Tears submerged in my eyes.  I held them back. Turning them into solid ice as I blinked.
"Merida!" yelled a woman from the crowd. A thin woman in a green dress and insanely long brown hair stared right at Merida. the way my people looked at me when my powers had first been revealed to the kingdom.
"Mom! It's not what it looks like! Okay. Maybe it does. But I can explain!" Yelled Merida through gritted teeth.
"Kill them! They are performing witch craft!" yelled Theodora through the crowd.
My sister Anna looked at me, worried. "Well ... There's ... nothing wrong with this! Who cares if she kisses a woman! Love has no boundaries. Leave Elsa Alone!" Anna yelled.
"Kill the queen, she's nothing but a wretched witch! Nobody kisses another woman like that! Kill them!"  Then another voice joined in, followed by another.
"Kill them, kill them, kill them!" The crowd screamed.  She had them brainwashed.
Not again not again. Not again. Not again. But this time I had someone else with me.
I held Merida close and ice burst from my arms, distancing the people  from us.
Merida and I ran. Out of the castle. Out of the palace. Out of the kingdom.  I held Merida's hand. We ran on the water, creating a bridge, crossing to other side. And as far away as we could.
