Fanfiction and Actual Dating

Another hard day of work was conquered by David, Gwen, and myself. All three of us are eating dinner as all the campers get ready for the night.
We decided to order some pizza to be delivered, just to have one night without the quartermasters... food.
As we all finish out slices, David goes outside to make sure everything's a-okay (his words, not mine).
Gwen's sitting across from me, "Hey!! Long time no talk, our colleague has been keeping you all for himself. I really wanted to share some of my work with you, do you mind?" Gwen enthusiastically says.
"Sure!!"
As I look through her plethora of stories, she starts asking questions.
"So... Seems like you two have been extra close. Is anything up? Are you a secret spy or maybe some sort of animalistic creature?" She starts conspiring, all of the fanfictions have definitely gotten to her head.
"No I'm actually... We... um..." I try to figure out how to say it.
"Gasp... No way" She replied.
"We are actually... together." I said, quite happily.
She sat back a little bit, holding the table to make sure she didn't fall back.
"Like dating?"
"Exactly that!" I laugh hysterically for a moment before smiling and continuing to read her work.
"You're really good at writing, how come nothing has ever come of this?" I reply, getting entranced by her word choice and descriptions.
"Don't know, no one ever wants it apparentlyyy..." she, clearly a little annoyed, said.
We kept chatting for almost an hour before David came back finally.
Two different versions of "welcome back" spouted from us as he came to sit at the table.
"I actually was thinking of a little plan for us two...
y/n. Sorry, Gwen." David giggles and looks over at me, "Sooo do you want to find out what it is?".
I look back over at Gwen, who's sitting normally again and suddenly nodding at me, and turn back to David.
"Yes!! Show me."
